This suggests that movies with wider audience reach generate more diverse opinions, while those with less reach have a more consistent reception.

According to our LinkedIn poll last week, 33% of our audience favoured seeing just the Barbie movie this weekend, while 7% showed a preference for watching the Oppenheimer movie. However, the most intriguing finding is that 13% of the audience is open to embracing both movies. Maybe there is a subset of moviegoers who appreciate a diverse range of genres and experiencing different types of films. However, the fact that nearly half (47%) of the LinkedIn voters said they had better things to do on this big movie weekend could indicate that folks’ range of entertainment are not solely focused on going to the movies. Yes, this may suggest that cinema is facing competition from other forms of entertainment, such as streaming services, or maybe it’s that the price of a cinema ticket is now more of a considered purchase than it may have been a few years back. Either way, it’s hard to disagree that cinema is being talked about more than it has been for months, if not years!

Where have all the Warner Bros /MGM/RKO Tarzan's gone? Well - looks like one swung away onto Netflix and is doing quite well. I also see the Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan MGM classic finally got a BluRay release about a month or two ago. What took you so long Warner Archive? Hope they continue to release more of the series on BluRay. However - the vast collection of Tarzan films in Warner Bros' vaults (including Tarzan as played by Weissmuller, Lex Barker, Gordon Scott and Jock Mahoney) seem to have been out of circulation for quite some time (and rarely if ever get a screening on TCM). I wonder why? The films had a great following and were favorites on Saturday afternoons back in the day. Did Warner Bros.- Discovery and even Turner Classics cancel Tarzan? They never showed up on the HBOMax or Max TCM Hubs. What gives Warner Bros-Discovery?
