0-$100k/mo - Day 23: Black Friday not going to plan :/ I was this close to breaking point. Picture this: I'm taking a break in the Algarve. It's Black Friday week; I'm excited to reverse my streak of Ls and ignite Love Circular's new momentum. For a month, I've been preparing—ad campaigns, email automation, website tweaks, and more. But, It all crumbled before my eyes. One by one, almost every crucial aspect of my strategy failed due to circumstances beyond my control at the time. Meta disabled my ad account on Monday of BF week, the email platform hit capacity for our current plan, and I've run out of budget to fork out more. From then on, it became a frantic race to salvage what I could. During my 4-day break, I spent most of my time battling crises in a constant fight-or-flight state. In this clip, I discuss the anxiety I endured during that moment. There wasn't much room for failure, knowing if the opportunity slipped away, I'd be back to square one for the next 2 months as I'd run out of runway. I'll admit, I was teetering on the brink. 🛬 From Cannes to Cali: Talking business at some of the most beautiful places in the world. I just arrived in San Francisco at our Meta headquarters - always great to be here! Among other things, I’m looking forward to talking with Zalando CEO Robert Gentz about all things commerce and AI. Earlier, we already took the chance to talk about our key take-aways for businesses and advertising from Cannes last week: ☝️Putting social first: There is no better way to reach people and get them to actively engage with you. Social media cannot just be your secondary use - it needs to be the priority. ⏱️ That also means: Be agile – or the trend is gone before you can hop on. Therefore, review processes have to be fast and simple. 💡Attention game: Especially with reels, you’re continuously vying for the viewers’ attention. A catchy intro is great but you need to keep giving the viewers’ reasons to keep watching. Cannes was great! Next to these insights (you can find more in the comments), I am thankful for the great people that I got to reconnect with and talk to, such as Will Rolls und Laia Abellán Ponce de León. Now I am excited for the week ahead! I always leave California and our HQ feeling inspired!

Talking about yourself and your achievements can be a little self-centered, but in this market you have to do what it takes :) Some facts and data about my work: 🌟In 2021, when there was a war for talent especially in tech, I achieved 100% of the hiring goals for Nubank together with the ta team. ✅In my time at Nubank the offer acceptance rate for engineering went from 45% to 65% in 6 months. ✅We carried out 3 hiring days and managed to establish fast track for IC6+. 🌟Facebook: in my time At Meta aka Facebook, I achieved something vital for any recruiter, building human relationships that positively impact candidates and hiring managers. 🌟Sophilabs: ✅65% offer acceptance rate in my management ✅I established employer branding for Colombia from scratch, positioning the brand ✅C level stakeholder management. In 2021 I received an offer from just eat take away, in 2022 I received an offer from Facebook and in 2023 from Sita, although for business reasons that unfortunately cannot be in the last named company ,and I reached final stage with Amazon in 2022, so I have been in the sight of big fish :). At the same time I have received a lot of rejection this year that has helped me learn and be incredibly resilient, I always see everything as a learning experience.
