This is a concept for the main character of my currently on hold indie game project the Dev's Way. His name is Davy, he was the first character I created for my game 3 years ago. Initially he was meant to be a pixel art character, my initial idea was to create a pixel art game. But since I started studying 2D art and animation, I fell in love with it and never stopped studying, and pushing my skills. This was not his initial version, during the years as my skills were getting better, I’ve created a lot of versions, and made a lot of experiments with him on different engines like Unreal, Unity and Godot. This was a very important learning stage of my art career and he helped me to acquire a solid and profound knowledge about in-game art creation. Actually, I can’t express how much I learned about drawing, animating and in-game art creation with this character. He is so fun to draw and animate, and I have so many story ideas for him that I hope to get time to continue his stories and my indie game development soon. #characterdesign #2d #indiegame #indiegamedev
