Circuses have historically been defined by their diverse array of acts, which often included animals, clowns, acrobats, and more. However, as public attitudes towards animal rights and entertainment have evolved, many circuses have shifted their focus to human performers and eliminated animal acts. The question of whether it's still a circus when it no longer features these iconic elements is indeed an existential and cultural one. Some people may argue that it's a modern adaptation of the circus, while others may feel that it lacks the essential elements that define a traditional circus.
