NCLA amicus brief asks #SCOTUS to end SEC gags on targets of settled enforcement cases.👏 We've filed the brief in Elon Musk v. SEC urging the Court to grant cert petition and strike down SEC’s “Gag Rule” censoring Americans with whom it settles a regulatory enforcement case. The SEC has no power to regulate the future speech of those with whom it settles and this Gag Rule is a direct infringement on First Amendment rights not just for Elon Musk, but all Americans who settle enforcement cases with the SEC. The Gag Rule far exceeds the SEC’s powers as no agency has any inherent power to make law. Moore's Law- Accelerating (Jensen Huang, co-founder and CEO of NVIDIA)... "Over the course of the last eight years, we've increased computation by one thousand times [i.e. implying a computation power doubling time of c.10 months < 1 year !!]"... "In the good old days of Moore's Law, it was... five times every five years"... "In the middle [days of Moore's Law-] the heydays of the PC revolution, it was a hundred times every ten years"... "And in the last eight years, we've gone one thousand times"... "We have two more years to go [which at current growth rates would imply c.5,000* cumulative growth in computing power over the 10 year period from 2016]"...

I can see Gary Gensler forcibly squirm and it makes me smile :) 🪙 But why the long face? In this recent landmark decision, the court sided with Grayscale in their battle against the SEC's denial of their application to convert the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust into an ETF. This breakthrough has the potential to impact other major players like BlackRock and Fidelity, who are eyeing the creation of bitcoin ETFs. A spot bitcoin ETF, if approved, would provide an opportunity for investors to access #btc through traditional stock exchanges, all while the actual bitcoin is securely held by a brokerage. The implications? A potential boost in mainstream institutional adoption and a brighter future for the crypto landscape. #decentralization #web3 #bitcoin
