SankhyaSutra Taral: Pushing the boundaries for transonic simulations Classical lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has achieved success and utility for subsonic flows, where incompressibility is a good approximation. Using higher-order LB models deployed on body centered cubic (BCC) grid, SankhyaSutra Labs has developed a new formulation of LBM which works efficiently for higher Mach number, e.g. encountered in Transonic flows. Our solver, SankhyaSutra Taral, has been validated using a number of benchmark examples for accurate aerodynamics and aeroacoustics simulations at transonic speeds. At the beginning of this year, my journey pivoted into the aerospace sector, contributing to the success of the "PiLOT(PSLV In orbital OBC and Thermals)" -An SSPACE (IIST) project. This intiative entailed developing a paylaod to demonstrate thermal simulation model in LEO, showcasing a 3D printed metal structure and an indigenously designed on-board computer.The "PiLOT" payload was deployed by utilizing the POEM-2 platform (PS4 stage) of the PSLV C55, launched on April 22, 2023.
