Did you know butterflies represent (if they’re around YOU and they catch YOUR attention):
“Symbols of transformation and spiritual growth.
In many ancient cultures, butterflies are considered a powerful symbol of transformation and spiritual growth, according to mindbodygreen. And just as a caterpillar transforms, we too can transform and grow spiritually.
Turning into a butterfly involves more than just a physical transformation. It’s a profound spiritual journey. You can think of it as the soul evolving from one state to another. During this process, the caterpillar must relinquish its old form, surrendering itself to an entirely new experience.
From a human experience point of view, this can symbolize spiritual growth and evolution. It creates space to let go of old ways of thinking and being (Good Feng Shui!) and embrace a new and higher state of consciousness.
Connection with mental and emotional wellness…
As with all things nature, butterflies evoke a positive emotional and psychological response, according to the Butterfly Conservation organization. On a physical level, butterfly sightings can lift your mood and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
Whereas on a spiritual level, witnessing butterfly beauty can guide you toward compassion. It can ignite a burning desire to preserve their natural habitat for these enchanting creatures. By observing their iridescent wings and powerful patterns, you can’t help but take a moment to capture the true beauty that surrounds you.
Let this spiritual meaning of butterflies serve as a reminder to live in the present moment and appreciate the beauty of life. “. (Goodnet)
May need more than a long weekend to appreciate and understand this Finance Bill ( issued by the Malaysian Ministry of Finance following the tabling of the recent 2024 Budget), especially the almost 130 pages on the Qualified Domestic Minimum Top Up Tax introduced as part of the Pillar 2 initiatives that all tax systems are faced with.
Life is certainly becoming complex….. how do we simplify tax systems?

I have known Chris, virtually that is, for about 5 years now. He and I disagree and agree on a lot of things--that is ok. This post is on target. I have had many conversations over the past month about certifications and veterans, especially the darn PMP. I will continue to dispel this myth that veterans have to get certifications to be a viable candidate in the workforce. This is the farthest from the truth.
Experience solving challenges is what gets you hired in the workforce.
How many of you are on the left side of this picture. Chasing each and every cert like a gold badge from Pokemon? How many of you are on the right side?
Employers have a real problem in the civilian world right now and that is a workforce that for the most part does not have the skills needed to be successful in the future. Skills like--Analytics, programming, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Process improvement, Technology design, Business Process Reengineering, Cyber, etc. Focus on getting experience and education in those skills and you make yourself marketable.
If I could get up in front of veterans today I would tell them the heck with the PMP, PHR, etc etc. Take a course in Business Analytics. Most colleges offer a year long course in it, it is covered by GI Bill and will make you marketable.
Always willing to chat with anyone on this topic.
