While companies struggles with cybersecurity and AI profiles shortage, I keep wondering how universities and private schools are getting ready for training Gen-Z workers for future (imminent) jobs. The gap between public studies plan and market needs is huge at this moment.

3moThe reason why more ‘experts’ are leaving the cybersecurity profession than entering it is that it is a loosing battle. There is no point in trying to protect your infrastructure when so much of it is ‘full of holes’ (for ‘zero day exploits’ read ‘bad programming’). From the staggering amount of ‘vulnerabilities’ in core software from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, etc., to the serious design flaws in hardware/firmware (Meltdown/Spectre) and the ease with which a tiny routing change can bring the network down mean that ‘Protection’ is no longer an option and ‘Recovery’ is the focus 😓
