However many technologies do not see uses that can alleviate many of the problems that exist in healthcare due to misinformation via social media. In US more than 90% Americans prefer to use digital tools and solutions. Digital education must empower the new generations who are the current workforce and better tools help in alleviating some of the clinician burnouts In a recent 2023 AMA(American Medical Association) survey showed a huge potential exodus of clinicians from healthcare roles due to burnout; some reasons are patient-provider ratio, lack of knowledge and skills in frontline professionals. For the Genz entering this workforce “conditioned on”, redundant traditional courses or materials and delivery style may not be relevant to their workforce competency or productivity goals. Educating the patients and clinicians for needed competencies is very critical – so patients must have enough knowledge to decide the best possible option for their care. The clinicians and patient trust is beyond clinical skills and personalization and needs empathy. "Patient Centric" in some healthcare providers is more of compliance vs real value added to make patients trust the healthcare providers. The lack of understanding of technology solutions by the senior stakeholders for programs requires better deep understanding of optimal health IT and domain specific requirements. Stakeholders need to make transparent evaluations versus relying on hyped up trends. Healthcare technology needs to focus on security first approach .The use of standards and interfaces with partner solutions who may have spent considerable effort building standard interfaces for data retrieval, analytics, or digital deployment should be reused. While XR has potential to gamify. its integration to AI, use cases are not fully realized for public multi stacks (by big tech) and not fully functional for real production uses. SDOH (Social Determinants of Health) is important and critical, and no technology can replace healthcare roles of competent professionals with AI, XR or other tech enablement in future. The need to fix the supplemental solution to bring more competent healthcare edtech that helps physician not only manage symptoms or cure but proactively help patients stop and prevent chronic diseases and as a result reduce medical costs and expenses by skillfully using tech that provides value. Doctors without Digital skills will get Dropped in 2030. I'm SAFE! I cracked the code to stay relevant: I discovered this after being in a room with over 60 Healthcare practitioners yesterday, This was in the webinar for the launch of Medics In Tech community and it was hands-on, not a regular medical meeting. Chisom Nri-Ezedi, Great Oyita Ndoma Godsent ( 𝑀𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑓𝑖𝑒𝑙𝑑𝑠..) held down three different sessions, They explained in understandable terms the importance of technology in healthcare and how, as working professionals, they have seen firsthand the benefits of AI applications in healthcare, as well as the drawbacks of AI applications that involve fewer jobs for doctors (which I kind of see as a pro too 🤔 ) because it reduces brain drain due to the high doctor-patient ratio, which could be reduced with technology.  There are already more patients than physicians; AI will assist rather than replace doctors, provided that the doctor can collaborate with him/her; hence, doctors who wish to remain relevant will require training. As the future of healthcare becomes more real by the second, several points were raised, including the necessity for digital health education, the need for medical adoption, the importance of doctors becoming digitally literate, and the need for advocacy 🗣 This is what Medics In Tech aims to accomplish: provide literacy to medical practitioners through course offerings, work with founders and tech collaborators to encourage advocacy, and work with policymakers to expedite the application process in government-owned healthcare centres, as private hospitals appear to grasp this message faster. Last year, I had the pleasure of hosting Larry Cohen, Ph.D on my podcast, so I greatly enjoyed coming across this read in MedCity News with him discussing the importance of community engagement as #healthtech advances: https://lnkd.in/ekuPMBqd Specifically, a paragraph towards the bottom focusing on the lack of #diversity in #clinicaltrials caught my attention. Participation in clinical trials in the U.S. is generally low, which impacts the rate at which new treatments can be introduced into clinical settings. As many as 20 percent of clinical trials are terminated early for failing to meet recruitment targets or are significantly delayed. Traditionally, clinical trial sites were selected solely based on experience and relationships with principal investigators at the site level. Often, the patients that meet the study criteria are not at those sites. #RWE and #AI solutions are changing that by estimating eligible patient population volumes with a new level of granularity and efficiency previously unattainable when screening sites to match trial protocols. At Premier Inc., we are committed to tackling this inequity. By leveraging #data and AI technologies, the PINC AI™ Applied Sciences team is “flipping the funnel” to recruit based on where patients are versus where the relationships exist.
