Dear Bosses of Dads, Just to let you know I am working from home. I work from home most of the week. In fact, whilst our child is off with Covid I'm not going into my office at all to avoid spreading it. This does not mean I am solely responsible for looking after our children when they get sick and can't go to school. So next time a Dad asks for a change in working hours for a day to juggle childcare or needs the day off to look after one of his sick children... maybe just accept it's his turn, or parents have already talked like grown-ups about who has got the most need to work at a place or in certain hours the following day and who can easily catch up later. Mothers' employers should not be responsible for factoring in attitudes to fatherhood when they hire us. Fathers should not feel they have to explain why their wife 'can't' to look after their kids sometimes. "Where is the wife?" is not an acceptable answer to the question, so don't pose it. Also, that staff wellbeing piece? I have a feeling the solution might be somewhere here, not in the mindfulness day. 19 year-old Richard Okorogheye has been missing since 8.40pm on Monday 22nd March after telling his mum he was going to visit a friend but none of his friends said they saw him that night. He was last seen walking on Kensal Road in the direction of Ladbroke Grove Sainsbury’s wearing a black long sleeve top, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. He was also carrying a small Adidas bag and is 6ft tall with a slim build. Richard has been shielding for the past 12 months due to the sickle cell disease he suffers with and would normally only leave the house to go to hospital for regular blood transfusions.
