Feel like like life has beaten you up? Wrestlers are tough! And they get beaten up! Ask Nick Celli. After placing 5th in state he told me an opponent poked him with his finger under his eyelid. Ouch! Life can beat us down. Family members die. Friends die. Health challenges arise. Relationships get strained. Transitions stress and strain us. Wrestlers are tough and understand in order to persevere and win you must have a warrior’s mindset. Veterans understand death. About health challenges. About The difficulty of maintaining long distance relationships when deployed. And the stress of reintegration after redeployment. Whew! Veterans also know, all too well, about transitions. Wrestlers are tough. Veterans are even tougher. Just ask one. Want to know more? DM me. #wrestling #mindset #transitions #deployments #veterans

VP of Marketing | Growth Strategist | Revenue Optimization | Marketing Automation ➥ Building High-Performing Teams, Leveraging Innovative Strategies to Drive Growth & Impact
My favorite holiday is this weekend... The first Tennessee Vols game of the year. 🏈🧡 In honor of that, let's talk about defense. (I swear this connects to marketing....) "Defense wins games." In the world of inbound and outbound, outbound is the defense. You have to have a strategy to understand what customers are trying to execute, how you are getting in front of them and why they need your solution. Outbound needs to support the inbound strategy, but also see the trick plays that competitors have up their sleeves, handle the objections and find the way to get that meeting booked. A good team needs both a strong offense and strong defense, just as a good GTM motion needs inbound and outbound. Go Vols and Happy Football Season! (well... I'm not wishing every team a happy season....) #GoVols #ItsFootballTimeInTennessee #DefensiveMarketing #InboundOutbound

**Maximizing Performance in the Professional Realm** 🌟 As professionals, we constantly strive to be at the top of our game. Over the past 12 years, I've had the privilege to chat with some of the world's top performers, and one of our all-time favorite episodes was with the remarkable Olympian, Lanny Bassham. Lanny highlighted that the true hallmark of champions isn't just their victories, but their unique ability to learn from setbacks and failures. Their post-event reflections are both introspective and actionable. 🔍 After any event, project, or significant endeavor, champions consistently ask themselves: 1️⃣ **What 3 things went well?** 2️⃣ **What did I learn?** 3️⃣ **What am I going to do next?** Once these reflections are acknowledged, the essential part is to **let go** and focus on forward momentum. Adopting such a mindset doesn’t just apply to the sports arena, but is incredibly relevant to our professional journeys. We face challenges, make decisions, and experience the highs and lows. Using Lanny's formula can help us evolve, innovate, and keep pushing the boundaries. Embrace your experiences, learn from every situation, and always aim higher. Let's champion our professional paths! 💼🏆 🎧Listen to the full episode: Listen to the full episode: https://lnkd.in/gvgJT7Fd #MentalManagement #ProfessionalGrowth #LearningFromFailure #ChampionMindset Don Freeman

Provider of decision-based data analytics to assist leaders in business and sports. I help coaches and leaders track stats important to them.
This team is more effective and efficient offensively when they create shots from possessions where they create a two on one advantage. The more 2 on 1 possessions, and the quicker they shot (within the first 0-16 seconds of the shot clock) the better. Which makes sense- try to score before the defense sets up. ✅ 2 on 1 possessions yielded more points per shot ✅ The quicker the advantage created and shot taken, the more points per shot ✅ Shoot before the defense "sets up" #gymratbb #basketballanalytics #analyticsaretools #chooseyourtoolswisely www.gymratbb.com

International Business Coach & Speaker | Strategic Sales Leader | Passionate Guide of Purposeful Executive Coaching | Host of "Return to Authenticity" podcast | Co-Leader of The Summit, a Men's Rites of Passage event
We often are looking for the cheat code, the advanced skill set or some inside scoop to bring us to the next level of work and life. Yet, it’s the mastery of the fundamentals that separates the good from the great. Watching Tiger, Jordan, or Federer in their prime was like watching magic happen in front of your eyes - truly next level, game changing masters of their craft. They could hit and make shots seemingly no one else could. I’d be willing to bet they weren’t practicing the extreme shots, they were practicing the fundamentals in extreme quantities. Hundreds of thousands of tee shots, free throws, and serves. In the world of life or death decisions at 2x the speed of sound, F-15 fighter pilot, Wes Woodhouse, shares a similar mindset for optimizing performance. Simplify your environment, eliminate distractions as much as possible and have an obsessive pursuit of perfection of the fundamentals. Acknowledging you will never reach perfection, analyze each interaction for where improvements can be made and then start again. I find these lessons apply equally well in business and all walks of life. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Links to the entire RTA Episode 92 conversation with Wes below.

As a society, we are trained to be defense-minded. Terms like "self-defense classes" or "defense wins games" are ingrained in our minds, but what about the Offense? It's where gains happen, both in combat and in sports. To change your position, you have to get off the fence and go forward. Gaining an understanding of the Characteristics of the Offense will help you be successful. Guess who has the most experience and training in the Offense? #offense #success #training
