2023 for me is the year of affirmation and inevitability regarding reality. What is that reality?? #VISION34Corridor. 2024 kicks off our tour to educate enlighten and inform the community in unity of purpose around a big idea. The idea you ask? To change the world for the better by reviewing what event triggered the situation in these Communities. ( INTERURBAN stops Christmas Eve 1934) This way we may roll the clock back on Regional planning initiatives to the fact that DFW is a modern creation of the first age of electrification. The modern era of Texas history began here on July 2nd 1902 with Interurban Service daily from Downtown Ft Worth to Downtown Dallas VIA DOWNTOWN ARLINGTON and the Entertainment District. That service ran on JEFFERSON BLVD. DIVISION. LANCASTER. BLVD. 1 road. 32 miles long. Represents the largest Urban redevelopment opportunity in American and certainly Texas History. This is not a new idea, it was the best idea and the result is what we call the Metroplex. 1 line- 28 miles 2.8 billion. 80% paid for 10 stations TOD around those 10 Mobility hubs within a decade ( using DART Data). 30 billion Development already underway or in pipeline Downtown Dallas. 10 billion Ft Worth - 5 Billion. It's #TransitEquityDay and a celebration of #TransitHero Rosa Parks' birthday. We want to take a moment to highlight a monumental contribution to the transit industry and a significant achievement for the African American community. The #SafeBusCompany 🚌 In 1926, Safe Bus Co., Inc. became the largest Black-owned transportation company when it formed to serve the African American community in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It was created at a time when trolleys extended into white neighborhoods only. Formed by 21 jitney operators, Safe Bus provided transportation to the city’s underserved black neighborhoods. To make their vision a reality, the founders invested their life savings to finally give Black riders reliable transportation. Through planning and development, Safe Bus created schedules and routes and strategically placed bus stops by Black businesses, schools, and churches in town. This gave access to places that were vital to Black residents’ opportunities and way of life. Safe Bus became a trailblazing company. By 1935, the company employed 80 employees operating routes for 8,000 riders. "Safe Bus was consistently more successful than Duke Power, which provided public transportation in white neighborhoods, or City Coach Lines, which took over those routes from Duke in 1955," Tina Carson-Wilkins, Winston-Salem Transit Authority (WSTA). In 1972, the company was purchased by the Winston-Salem Transit Authority and became part of the city bus service department. Acquiring all the assets of Safe Bus also meant that its workforce retained their jobs and were now employees of the city. #TransitPioneers #TransitHeroes #BlackExcellence #BlackHistoryMonth

Helping CEOs and Companies Unleash the Full Potential of Their Teams Through Dynamic Speaking Engagements, Actionable Advising and Hands-on Consulting with Interim Roles.
Reputation may help you in the short term but without Character your shortcomings will be visible to everyone eventually. Work on your substance which is your Character. It’s the foundation that holds you up. Your Reputation is what others think of you and you don’t want to give anybody that kind of power over you. Your Character is not what you think of yourself, it is who you are at the core. Work to be the best version of yourself everyday. #getupandgo #retailleadersroadmap #herwellwisher #wellwisher #retail #retailmanagement #gapinc #oldnavy #urbanoutfitters #pacsun #Character #reputation

Good news for a lot of good people. As a sustainability expert, I can't help but hope expansion reaches beyond cell service. At their core they are a real estate trust and a lot more could be done with that real estate. Most of their towers are compatible with modern wind turbines and it doesn't impact service to produce energy with them at the towers. Just add some battery storage into the existing base square footage, many have a utility building onsite already, and you have emergency power. This power is already hooked into their service, the electrical grid, and the greater community using that cell service and that grid. Spread this technology across their tower network, you got a lot of kWh being produced. The infrastructure is already in place. The technology exists. The people on the ground are adaptable. The companies of the future will use multi-faceted sustainable solutions that involve renewable energy. This essentially eliminates their electric bill and potentially provides an additional source of revenue. With energy prices increasing, not investing in their own grid poses financial risk. Additionally, because the grid and tower are already there, the cost to create renewable energy at these sites, and the extreme reduction in resources needed to do such, is impossible to ignore. Help the company, help the stockholders, help the community, help the environment, create new streams of revenue, reduce strain on infrastructure, and reduce the resources consumed to create renewable energy. Its beyond a win-win solution.
Not sure what tomorrow will bring, but today is a good day for Washington County, my CCI friends and family. ❤️ Crown Castle
