Let’s talk value; the value of contribution, work, expertise, loyalty. This topic has been coming up a lot lately. The true meaning of value is too often obscured by the immediacy of tangible results. Value, however, presents itself in a myriad of ways. Recognizing this is key to fostering successful teams, partnerships, and client relationships. Expertise Value is often minimized to outcomes and those outcomes are translated to dollars. For example, behind every media placement are hours of research, targeting, creativity, and strategy. Results have a funny way of obscuring that process, which requires years of expertise to understand that PR and marketing are crafts that require us to be both artists and scientists. Creativity Ideas are valuable capital. What about other adjacent qualities that are harder to quantify?
