What are your plans to secure business with the federal government before the Q4 Rush?
This is the time to:
🌼 Solidify the relationships you’ve been nurturing the last two quarters.
🌼Ask how you can help with any budgets, estimates, ideas, questions as they ramp up their scopes of work.
🌼Ask if they have a need, but ‘it’s not in the budget for this year.’ Why ask? Because last minute funds pop up in August and September and if you’ve already helped them write up the list or scope, showed them your easy closing mechanisms such as contract vehicles and set aside possibilities, they’ll put that list or scope in their ‘wish list’ pile and if money comes available, with the paperwork already in-hand you might win some last minute deals.
🌼Keep in front of your key contacts Now, because after July 1, they’re going to be way too busy to talk to you in ‘first meetings.’ It’s too late for FY2024 if you’re just starting in July to reach out.
