Awareness training, to be completed at least annually for all site operatives. Why? Everyone knows this stuff so what's the point? That's exactly what I thought when I started working in BD with H&S. I would get on the phone with a potential client and not even mention it. The answer is obvious really, regulation changes. Even though we believe we know everything, there are still people in world researching and delving deeper into how and why. That applies to techniques, exposure limits, new materials, old materials. The courses are sometimes referred to as "refresher" courses which is an accurate way to describe why they're important. Refreshing your knowledge on a subject doesn't make you an expert, it gives you the awareness needed if/when you come across a situation on site. Plus, they're all accessible on any device that can access the internet. Then you download the certificate as soon as you finish the course.
