Plotting something new… 👀 In an industry often characterized by the “move fast and break things” mentality, I’ve sometimes wondered if my own guiding ethos, “festina lente,” (Latin for “make haste slowly”) was, well…archaic. But experience has taught me time and again the value of being swift but also deliberate; that intensity coupled with intentionality promotes longevity. That building breadth *and* depth fosters the most compelling endgame. That is why after 15 very special and formative years investing at two incredible firms I respect tremendously — Accel and TCV — I’m thrilled to now pursue my dream of launching a venture firm. Investing is an apprenticeship business, but the tech and VC industries are constantly evolving. I’m excited to build upon the many examples of excellence I’ve internalized to forge my own path forward in service of founders building the next generation of legendary technology companies. I’m looking forward to sharing more about what I’m building in the coming months!
Congratulations on making this decision! I think you took the right approach – gaining experience first and then moving forward. Do you already have companies in mind that you plan to invest in?
Love this (especially the Latin call out 💚) and can’t wait to hear more about what you’re building!
Go Maya S. Noeth go! So proud of you!
"Festina Lente" is like speed and accuracy, a beautiful harmonic dance when in tune and in sync. Calling your own tune...priceless. Mazel Tov!!!
So excited for you Maya!
Quality over quantity - a welcome shift! The industry needs more investors who prioritize long-term success.
This is the right direction.
So exciting and love the “festina lente” mentality. Congratulations, Maya! Lucky are those entrepreneurs that will cross your path 💪
Can't wait to hear about it!
