This week we published episode four of five of the International Cash Cows Podcast – a milestone that's both exciting and a bit surreal. It's hard to believe the season is almost done, and what a journey it's been.
Starting this podcast was deeply personal for me. As an international student, I faced systemic barriers, cultural and academic challenges, financial hardships, and a profound sense of isolation. During a particularly difficult personal experience, I turned to the media for stories like mine, only to find very few. This gap in representation, the untold struggles of international students promised a world-class education and a bright future, became the driving force behind this podcast.
Each episode has been a step towards giving a voice to these overlooked stories. And the response has been overwhelming. With nearly 150 listens, a number I never imagined we'd reach, I'm humbled and grateful. Your feedback, stories, and engagement have been the heart of this journey.
In our latest episode, we feature Daniel Ohaegbu of ASDA. It's an insightful exploration into the support systems that empower international students in their transition to professional life in Canada. This episode embodies the essence of our podcast – a blend of struggle, resilience, and community.
As we prepare for our final episode on December 4, 2023, I want to thank each one of you for being a part of this journey. Your support means the world to me. Stay tuned for our season finale – we're going out with a bang!
Listen to episode 4 now, and let's continue to share and uplift these important stories.
