It's that clip of twelvemonth again...Met Gala time! Last night, the 2024 Met Gala was held, with a taxable of "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" and a "Garden of Time" inspired formal code. As always, Latinos ate it up connected the not-so-red carpet, serving immoderate instantly iconic looks. Here's what 16 of your favourite Latino celebs wore: #innovation - #management - #technology - #creativity - #futurism - #startups

eAdmin Lead UK at Swiss Re. Working hard to ensure that the London market Blueprint Two solutions are as compatible as possible with the Ruschlikon data and processes.
The foundations put in place by ACORD and Ruschlikon have been undergoing reinforcement by the London market through the program being developed in partnership with Velonetic. Blueprint Two was the stage of the London market journey (https://lnkd.in/e4wScceR) at which ACORD messaging was confirmed as being a fundamental part of the solution. Chris Newman makes reference to case studies highlighting material benefits, and anyone interested in reviewing those can find them here: https://lnkd.in/ewpFPebi As Chris also notes, ACORD are working with the respective communities to ensure that we end up with one global process. There are a number of ways to engage with the London market initiative, whether to help shape the solutions or to find assistance in preparing for adoption (https://lnkd.in/e3kaWE4F) #RuschlikonSupportsBlueprintTwo

Been having a lot of conversations on timing of seeking #investment and #strategy for it. With busy #VC who get inundated those vying for their attention, you might only get one shot. If you invest in building relationships ahead of "taking your shot", then it is not really "one shot." When I listen to and watch this, I see so many more things now than I did before: #Belonging in spaces of power or privilege: Both men are orphans. One who is living a legacy of privileged parents with Ivy League pedigree. The other has beaten the odds to even be in that room. I see myself in both. My middle name is not accidental. Generations past, we were privileged. Now, though, my being where I am is through my own grit and generations of grit to beat the odds and survive and thrive amid hardship and challenges. Different styles of speaking: One is careful and measured with his words to think strategically about "optics" or how any word could result in harm. The other has to talk a lot or shout to be heard. The first style works if you come from privilege and "belong" in the room as well as if you are a continuation of an esteemed family legacy as compared to the loud, uncouth upstart who is muscling his way into the room, only given a platform for his effectiveness at rallying a crowd. Hidden vs Open: Burr is of the Revolution but does not make it obvious whereas Hamilton is shouting it. Burr joins the group that forms while Hamilton draws the crowd to him. In #changemanagement terminology, Hamilton is the innovator or the early adopter compared to Burr who wants evidence or security prior to jumping on board. Burr types may sit back, judge, advise, maybe even ridicule, but we still need the Burr types who bring their connections, money, prestige, credibility, etc to change. The Hamiltons of the world need the Burrs of the world to bridge the gap between those running forward into the future of change and those who want change but are more cautious. Of course, in real life Burr survives and Hamilton is shot...by no other than Burr, on a NJ cliff overlooking NYC, in Weehawken. Between the #womeninentrepreneurship and #femalefounder event yesterday and a conversation with a dean today, am contemplating a lot in terms of when, on what, and why to stay silent or stand back vs when to be vocal, visible, and take risks. As "daughter of" and "granddaughter of" I've been more like Burr, needing to represent family. As a doctor, in my career, I carried responsibility and liability for the whole team. These last couple of years I freed myself from a lot of that to be more like Hamilton. But, there is the risk of "getting shot", not just figuratively in a place like the U.S. The minute we take others' money and when others risk their livelihood and career with me, I'm again responsible. Then "brand" is not just personal/mine but a shared one, not unlike "family name." Given that, what choices do I want to make?

Helping organizations develop capabilities to innovate successfully. Certified Innovation Manager, Organizational Development Strategist, Business Transformation Leader, Experienced Project Manager
Driving innovation within organizations can feel like running a marathon. It's been two months since I had the pleasure of participating in the Disrupt HR Bermuda 2.0 event. I've always seen myself as a passionate speaker rather than a public speaker. Despite being among the 75% of adults who fear public speaking, I decided to step out of my comfort zone. My passion for innovation pushed me to face this fear because innovation is all about venturing beyond what's comfortable. A heartfelt thank you to the Disrupt HR Bermuda Team: Felicia Rickards, Steph Brown, and Michelle St Jane 🌻🌎 for creating such an inspiring and supportive environment to face my discomfort. In the video below, I share endurance strategies to keep your teams engaged and focused on building their capabilities to innovate successfully while running the “innovation marathon.” 📹 https://lnkd.in/e5zsF4b7 If you missed the Disrupt HR Bermuda event, you can access the recordings and explore a wide range of thought-provoking topics from my fellow speakers. 📹 https://lnkd.in/eRp55EEe #DisruptHRBermuda #DisruptHR #Innovation #PublicSpeaking #ContinuousImprovement

WORK THIS GOOD CAN EVEN MAKE ALCOPOPS SEEM COOL I first saw this ad 24 years ago (TWENTY-FOUR!) and it feels as fresh on last watch as it did on the first. A TV ad for the alcopop ‘Metz’ from the much lauded and sadly missed agency, HHCL. https://lnkd.in/e7-UeVZU I’ve always been grateful to three people for teaching me, as a humble strategist, the true value of craft - Paul Jordan, Clare Donald and Chris Groom. How the right music, editing, casting, set or pacing can turn a brilliant idea into an unforgettable one. The dissolve transitions on this, the arri cameras...oh, swoon....I think this was al young, but someone might tell me otherwise. And while I'm swooning. That endline. That v/o. That beautiful pace. Oh, it’s a marvel. This ad is a masterclass. It bears watching repeatedly to marvel in the detail. Some call outs go to Enda Mccallion for the directing, Glassworks for production and finally the immenseness that is that alicia suszka-fielder voice-over. And if nothing else, let us applaud a brilliant, empowering and inspirational client who could give an agency this level of licence to execute something so unique. Beware the other types of clients, my friends, whether the moon is fat, thin or somewhere in between. #creative #creativity #marketing #creative #agencies #agencyvoices #judders
