I’m excited to share that Duolingo has acquired Hobbes, a world-class animation and motion design studio based in Detroit. This acquisition will do big things for Duolingo: animation and motion design are critical to our delightful and engaging learning experience, especially when it comes to our gamified features. Our Chief Design Officer Ryan Sims says it best: “We’re investing in the belief that a more animated product experience is more fun and delightful, and leads to better learning outcomes.” I’m so happy to welcome Nevin McRay, Eddy Nieto, and their talented, mission-driven team to Duolingo. When are the math and music courses supposed to be available on Android? Duo has been teasing about them for too long 😏
Supporting Pittsburg and now Detroit (when they need it most.)❤️
How exciting! I’ve been using Duolingo to the fullest so I can’t wait to see what you come up next! Also I’m loving the new addition in the music part where you can try to play parts of songs from musicians. Thanks so much for a great app!
I want to ask the owl why i dont get replies to my mails. Who is hurting my heart? Whooooo?
Perhaps they will correct the situation when the owlet icon interferes with pressing the adjacent button in the mobile application. 🤔
My 700+ day streak inspired my stepson to learn Spanish and Chinese. He is going to love Duolingo even more. 🙌
I just downloaded Duolingo - genius! Thanks for building a great product. If you need engineers, let me know would love to work with you.
Congrats!! I've been a long time user, and live 3 blocks from your headquarters in Pittsburgh. This is very exciting to hear as it will clearly make a better experience for learners.
