Lucky Kat took over Paris for Sui Basecamp 💧 Sui celebrated its first Basecamp event where builders came together to celebrate the ecosystem. Lucky Kat Studios was the word around the event, with Panzerdogs & Cosmocadia on display 🕹 . Wondering what went down in Paris 🤔? 🎮 SuiPlay0X1 reveal! A Sui native gaming console coming next year - our games will be coming to a console sooner than you think. 🌊 We reconnected with the https://lnkd.in/e7R6G_ru and https://lnkd.in/e4N-Eh28 teams! We thank the Sui team for all the support they have given us since day one. 🤝 Meeting builders, community members, and filming interviews! Our days were filled with non-stop interaction, maybe even revealing a bit too much about our future plans. Basecamp fuelled the team with energy and we cannot wait to share our next steps as a Web3 gaming company with the world! Sit tight cause we are going to the next level. A big thank you to Zara Zamani, Roel Theuniszen, Daniël van Es,Jordan Walsh, and Roland Gál for representing us in Paris and making the team proud! Here's a fun look at what we shipped for Basecamp in 2023. A big focus was making it better at what it already does so teams can move faster and make more progress. There were also hundreds of refinements, small additions, bug fixes, and performance improvements. All of that was done by 5 designers and 9 programmers. But that same group, along with the mobile team, also built two new products — HEY's calendar and the first ONCE app (both debut soon!) — and shipped big new features for HEY email. That level of performance is largely a tribute to the people themselves, but it also shows what's possible when you optimize for autonomy and simplicity at every turn — teams of 2, asynchronous communication, few meetings, and fixed time projects with variable scopes. 2024 should be quite a year — can't wait! Dark pattern by Basecamp? Curious to hear your thoughts. I signed up to Basecamp a couple of years ago. I tried it for a while, but it didn't click. Every month since, I've gotten this "renewal email" letting me know I paid $0 this month. Seems like a strange way to get one's attention if you ask me, but it's also spammy as hell, and since it's an "invoice" and not a newsletter, there's no option to unsubscribe - you have to log in and change the notification preferences. I wonder who's in charge of this, product or marketing. Either way - not cool, Basecamp. Not cool. #productmanagement #productmarketing

Less than a month before Beeler.Tech #BaseCamp! I'm very excited to be able to attend for the first time. When I look at the name "BaseCamp". I see "camp" indicating extensive preparation, but also exploration and flexibility. The word "Base" has many meanings and interpretations. The definitions that I am leaning towards are actually some recently evolved definitions of "Based". To be "Based" is to be authentic, non-conforming, and courageous. With that in mind, I'm looking forward to witness and participate in the critical thinking that will occur as these concepts are applied to Advertising and Publishing Technology. If it wasn't clear already, I have pretty high expectations for my first Base(d)Camp. #BaseCamp #BaseCampAmeliaIsland #Publishing #AdTech #BeelerTech

Hey Lex Winship, it was me! Thanks for the funny post (roast?)! Think of them like mannequins but instead of clothing, these dummies are there to support the copy without drawing attention to themselves. The goal was a fun presentation of some loose, rotating conversational text. The figures help support that this a back and forth between two people. One has a problem and the other proposes a solution: Basecamp. They're rendered with just enough detail to set the tone of the conversation. The figure on the left's shoulders are tense and orientation downcast, expressing worry or consternation. The figure on the right is at ease, confident, and up-beat. We need enough of their body (torso, shoulders, arms, hands) to contrast that one is anxious and the other confident. Noses indicate direction; mouthes complete the expression. But why no eyes? Eyes are windows to the soul. We're drawn to them. Put eyes on these figures and suddenly they're persons. Our pattern matching brains kick in and start piecing together their story. "That one looks like my old boss who…", "the other one reminds of…", "is she his boss?" and so on. They become characters who distract from the copy. I stripped back the details until they were just props.
I love Basecamp. The product. The brand. The website. But there’s one thing I just can’t get behind. A creative decision I just don’t understand. Why no eyes???????? Noses, tongues, even DIMPLES on their little doodle characters... But no EYES??????? I am scared and I WANT ANSWERS. #basecamp #b2bmarketing #brand

An AiOT Operating System for the Creative Developer on their Revenue Engine Quest ->No Arty, No Party!🌟
Whenever a client asks what exactly are we trying to solve, I’ll just send them this now. This is quite literally a disaster of the modern world of work. Family homes are being broken up as a reflection of the tool fragmentation family members are subject to at work. All in the name of a “pseudo-disruption” of existing tools. Something must change, and someone will charge as well. It’s the pendulum swing of history. Absolution of Abstraction over Obsoletion of Obsession. One leads to the effective distribution of the Emperor’s status quos, while the other leads to the erosive disruption of the employee’s stable quotas. It turns out that Abstraction absorbing Obsession is a terrific idea, as obsession leads to stability when applied right and Abstraction leads to Scalability when applied properly. It is time we stop trying to replace everything in a Pseudo-oppressive way. Every attempt to replace an “old-guard” has yielded more excesses than essentials. Choose Responsibility over Sustainability. Build to Recycle, not Stifle!
We couldn't make an ad for Basecamp this good with all the money in the world.

Hey, fellow developers! I wanted to share a quick tip that might save you some time when working on web projects that require internal navigation. I recently discovered on freeCodeCamp a more efficient way to link to internal sections of a webpage using anchor elements <a>. Initially, I used multiple methods to create navigation, which worked but finding it tough. One of my good friends introduced me to the power of anchor elements with the href attribute pointing to the section's ID. By simply assigning an ID to your target section and linking to it, you can create smooth and user-friendly navigation within your page. This approach not only simplifies your code but also enhances the user experience and maintainability. #bytewiselimited #bytewisefellowship

My current company Radya Labs Technology has been using Basecamp since I joined in 2016. And we really love it, it has features such as message board, campfire, docs, simplified to-dos, schedule help us a lot improving our productivity, Thanks to Jason Fried for founding Basecamp :D. And now my company from less than 30 people now having more than 80 people, and we still want to use basecamp as a tool for our company productivity and monitoring. Then we decided to create our internal monitoring productivity application (not to replacing Basecamp as a whole solution), just covering some use cases that Basecamp's features could not handle our needs. Last but not least, as a Lead of the internal project, I decided to create an Open-Source Project for integration to Basecamp 3 API using .NET, I will try my best to keep up the updates. Thrilled to share my journey diving into the fundamentals of web development! Starting with FreeCodeCamp's Responsive Web Design Certification was a game-changer. 🌐🚀 With real-world 5 projects and approximately 300 hours of hands-on lessons, it's been an immersive experience. Excited for more courses on freeCodeCamp to deepen my skills further! This is a stepping stone on my path to becoming a full-stack developer🚀 #WebDevelopment #responsivewebdesign #PracticalLearning #freecodecamp
