We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with world-leading #data and #ai platform Databricks to boost Australia's #manufacturing capability. ▶️Why this is important for manufacturing: Every business collects data, whether its from operations, sales or customers. Unfortunately, many miss out on valuable intelligence because they do not have the ability to bring the data from its many sources into one platform. This is particularly true for small and medium-sized companies (which make up 93% of all Australian businesses!) because they cannot afford to build and maintain internal data management infrastructure. The ARM Hub has an offering to companies big and small to help them solve this problem. This involves developed tailored AI tools for each business to enable them to make the most of their own data. The partnership with Databricks means the ARM Hub is able to use the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to deliver a robust and responsible data and AI service to manufacturers. We wanted to remove friction for retailers and consumer product companies while adopting our world-class AI forecasting and demand modeling capabilities. When we all can download, try, and get going with our favorite consumer apps, why should the B2B software adoption process be complex? - A question our customers and partners often ask. To fulfill our Product Lead Growth strategy, we wanted to choose a technology platform that complements our capabilities and innovates at the speed of us. The choice was fairly straightforward - we chose the lakehouse architecture with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform rather than treading the path of in-house infrastructure. We do what we do best - deliver high-quality forecasts and enable better associate and inventory decisions. Databricks are the leaders in orchestrating data and computing at scale. Now, you can quickly spin up Antuit/Zebra Workcloud forecasting capabilities on your Databricks and generate the enviable demand forecast in days. I'm incredibly proud of the team that pulled this together and very excited to see the impact it can have on the market. Thank you, Databricks, for the partnership. antuit.ai Zebra Technologies Nicholas Wegman Moez Ali Renee Voves Rob Saker Scott Morgan, Ed.D., SPHR, Joe White, Suresh Menon, Tania Stockbridge Rob Armstrong
Consumer Goods companies need to improve their forecasting capabilities, but often lack the teams to bring this to reality. The impact can be tens or hundreds of millions of dollars. antuit.ai (now part of Zebra Technologies) has unveiled an AI-driven demand forecasting system that's transforming how businesses operate. The initiative leverages antuit.ai's Workcloud Forecasting & Analysis to harness the power of Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, offering employees unparalleled access to real-time data insights. This innovative approach not only streamlines production to consumer processes but also significantly enhances order accuracy and efficiency. If you're looking to improve your forecasting, inventory planning, inventory ordering, or insights, give this a read and check out antuit.ai! #retail #cpg #data #ai #forecasting

Over the past 7 months at Databricks I’ve talked to many retailers and they are fundamentally trying to solve two major data and AI challenges. The first challenge is breaking out of data silos and providing access to all data, of any type, from any source; achieving that in real-time; governed comprehensively; and shared across an industry ecosystem. What retail leaders describe as their data and AI strategy requires all the properties of a lakehouse. In fact a lakehouse has become the go-to architecture to solve this challenge as evidenced by 74% of organisations having deployed a Lakehouse according to our most recent CIO survey with MIT. The rise of generative AI has created urgency around the second major challenge - democratising data and AI across an entire organisation - solving for dependence on a highly technical stack as well as data privacy and control. This is accomplished not by treating generative AI as an output of a data platform, but by infusing generative AI into every element of the data platform itself. The combination of the Lakehouse and generative AI creates the first Data Intelligence Platform capable of solving both major challenges with industry-leading performance, scale, and TCO. So how are we helping our retail customers in real life? Reducing Churn - Improving the customer experience - so you can invest more in innovation and owning the direct relationship with the customer through composable customer data platforms. Managing Margin - Reducing cost to serve/operate - simplifying internal operations, consolidate systems and leverage AI and generative AI to upskill and automate. Driving Growth - Identifying new revenue sources - To mitigate decreasing margins, we see retailers adopting Databricks to accelerate Retail Media Networks, Subscriptions, Partnerships and other new revenue sources Increased Collaboration - Streamline supplier collaboration with real-time data sharing - Real-time, zero-copy, zero-ETL data sharing can eliminate wait between suppliers/retailers and improve accuracy of forecast predictions Excited to introduce the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, built for retail.

Thanks, Jim Hare, #gartner, for the shoutout and insightful takeaways from the 2024 Data+AI Summit! 🌟 It’s exciting to see how Databricks is evolving beyond a lakehouse to a full-fledged Data+AI powerhouse. Congrats Databricks on a terrific 2024 Data+AI Summit #dais this week! Impressed not only by the increased attendance but also the expansion of their platform over the past several years beyond offering just a lakehouse. My key takeaway is that with their latest product announcements and recent acquisitions, Databricks now offers a comprehensive #datafabric together with AI and analytics products and tools to help enterprises deploy #compositeAI systems (what they call compound AI) with built-in governance and guardrails. I predict enterprises will quickly seek out platforms like Databricks (that can run across multiple clouds) to make their data AI-ready. Special call out to Kasey Uhlenhuth (aka as "Cookie Lady" thanks to Jensen Huang). Kasey gave a pragmatic demo showing the importance and how to use GenAI grounding to create more relevant images to promote a fictious cookie store's product. The conference and analyst summit also provided me with an insightful update on the company, business, and GTM strategy and execution results. Their revenue and customer growth is impressive especially for a company that is built itself by embracing open source. While the hyperscalers, frontier model providers, and chip makers like #NVIDIA are currently in the AI spotlight, vendors like #Databricks that unlock and operationalize an enterprise's data for AI will become the new value generators. Ali Ghodsi, Rick Schultz, Ron Gabrisko, Prem Prakash, thank you for carving out time to meet with me at the conference! And, Sonya Vargas (Ruzheva), Kayli Berlin, thank you for hosting a valuable analyst event. https://lnkd.in/ejHPMfcM
