Today is Founders' Day, marking the establishment of our institution in 1894 and 130 years (and counting) of history and legacy.

I'm not that smart but I test well. I could have gone anywhere. I had scholarship offers from several major universities. I chose Louisiana Tech because my older brother, who I idolized went there, and became a very successful executive with General Electric. Louisiana Tech prepared me to succeed beyond my wildest dreams. To me, Louisiana Tech University is more than my alma mater. It is an incredible institution that has fought the odds to become among the top two public universities in Louisiana. Under the leadership of my friend, Dr. Jim Henderson, it will continue to achieve greatness. #foreverloyalbe
