Applicants needs to understand that a resume in today’s world is meaning less and less. We live in a world surrounded by fake documents where employers MUST properly Vet any potential applicant. You can no longer hire based on a resume & interview. Instead you must Vet the applicant to verify his credentials to make sure he is real. We are in a world where the “gut feeling” no longer has a place.
I always do a follow-up email after a job interview. The email is a physical reminder of what skills I have to offer to an employer and my interest in the advertised position.
