Not sure I've ever see the 'Alphabet Inc.' logo before. What is Dayforce? AT&T top job is Retail Sales Consultant? Love that the 'Flex Work' is part of the score (Except Apple of course, always different) Would be nice to know some of the data, and process behind the ranking. cc Rob, Brian, Nick https://www.linkedin.com/company/alphabet-inc/ 220K followers, compared to Google (33M), YouTube (2M) & Waymo (194k)

Congrats to all of the companies that made the list! Quite a few I recognized and expected to be there such as Alphabet Inc. Apple and Amazon. However, it's great to see non traditional tech companies such Dayforce & Siemens make the list along with the telecom giants AT&T Comcast & Verizon! Also it would be good to see a list like this for SMB/midsize companies as well!

I actually do have a thought after looking at this list. I do not know your methology nor do I have issuues with these companies. However, I would like to add another perspective. These are all huge corporations and probably have specific value to assist one’s career development. They also have negatives due tomthere size. I had long career experience with Xerox and Sun Microsystems, but joined when they were small and left before their downfall. Xerox was a few hundred million we hen I joined and $25 billion when Inleft . Same for Sun. Since then I have chaired the Boards of three smaller public companies - Sonicwall, Altera and Extreme Networks. These companies do not have the prestigious brand recognition noe huge businesses, but they are hands on challenging and every person must contribute and pull their weight. Employees love it and can see their personal contributions impacts on results. We attract meny new hires from huge companies who are self starts and tired of the mego environment. Thanks for asking for comment.

As an executive coach working closely with leaders across various industries, I was intrigued by LinkedIn News's insightful compilation of top companies. Having unique visibility into the inner workings and cultures of these organizations, one standout aspect caught my attention – their approach to flexibility and work-life balance. These companies understand that respecting employees' mental health and overall well-being is not just a moral imperative but a strategic differentiator in attracting and retaining top talent. Fostering a culture that prioritizes work-life integration is pivotal for sustained success. Potential candidates should conduct thorough due diligence to understand the specific role demands and ensure alignment with their personal and professional aspirations. A harmonious fit between individual needs and organizational expectations is crucial for long-term fulfillment and impact. As the employment landscape continues to shift, certain roles and skillsets are emerging as highly coveted commodities. Professionals seeking to future-proof their careers should focus on upskilling in areas such as data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and IT management. Juliette Faraut

Congratulations to all the companies. I am curious to know what metrics were used to finalize this list? I also see the big tech/banking giants on the list, would be interesting to have more smaller/mid size companies on the list as well.

It's nice to see Siemens on this list. Despite how much they’re penetrated the daily lives of perhaps most people in some way, they’re just not a brand we’re readily aware of. I remember their logo on the Port Authority Transit cars of Pittsburgh’s light rail system (otherwise known as “the T”) from way back when I was a kid, so the name pops out at me every time I see it. Later in life, I intersected with their healthcare side and I was impressed with the way they ran their operations. I’m happy where I am at NICE, a true market leader and perpetual game changer, but I have to admit, the connection with Siemens all the way back to my childhood pulls some strongly nostalgic strings and made me smile. I'm surprised that we don’t see more AI companies here like Mistral, OpenAI, Anthropic ... hell, maybe especially Nvidia. Working in the field, I know that despite the risks and the naysayers, the future of business is rooted in it. AI is already shaping everyday operations in ways that technologies like e-mail and the spreadsheet could've only dreamt of when they emerged. Think about that.

I am afraid you are too U.S.-centric (with the exception of Siemens). It gives the impression that the U.S. leads the world in technology. According to the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), China leads 53 out of 64 critical and emerging technologies, while the United States leads 11. ASPI's Critical Technology Tracker covers 37 out of 44 technologies, including defense, space, robotics, energy, the environment, biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI), advanced materials, and quantum technology

For job seekers, these lists can be valuable in creating target company lists. A target company list helps your network find connections for you at the places you want to work. However, these lists are just the starting place. Instead of just using this list and focusing only on these companies, start with these companies and see where their employees go to work after these places. You can use this list and LinkedIn search and look for people who have these places as their Past Companies. This will give you ideas of smaller or less known companies you could add to your target company list.

I think today we actually undervalue the impact on the world these (and other) companies have had on us. I'd agree Amazon should lead a list like this. Data aside for a moment, the simple ability to return merchandise more or less as you like was revolutionary for online sales. I recall somebody years ago saying it was all marketing, and nobody cares about "one-day delivery." But as we know, Amazon's delivery speeds were another game-changer. And that's just the consumer-facing part of the business ... No, these companies are far from perfect, and we should continue to highlight where they fail to measure up, for employees, in treatment of competitors, etc. But even today, as they grow "older," we also should not forget the positive technologies and systems they have brought forward.

From a health and nutrition technology standpoint, Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is a key player in health tech with its subsidiary Verily, innovating in health data analysis and wearables. Apple influences the industry with HealthKit and the Apple Watch, integrating vital health monitoring into everyday tech. Amazon, leveraging AWS and its acquisition of PillPack, is transforming healthcare management through Alexa's integration. These tech giants not only innovate but also have the capacity to acquire smaller innovators, accelerating the shift towards personalized, predictive, and preventative healthcare.
