When we set out to make the Expanse: A Telltale Series, we had some high level goals we wanted to hit: A high quality experience with solid frame rate and as few bugs as possible. Your choices matter. Make the game feel like a playable episode of the Expanse. Watching this recap from the Normies on episode 5, it's great to see how different everyone's last episode turned out. I love a mashup DJ, taking two songs and mixing them into something new but entirely familiar. And one of the fun things we're seeing in video games in 2024, especially on Steam, is successful genre mash-ups. Palworld blended monster collecting with survival genres to create one of the biggest hits of the year. Could Lightyear Frontier do the same? Blending mechs with farming sim seems a bit, uh, odd, but this trailer and their savvy publishing team putting it on GamePass and Steam, give this "cozy, co-op mech non-shooter" an interesting chance.
