In the realm of game development, it's rare to witness the end of an era as momentous as this. Larian Studios bids a heartfelt farewell to Johannes Thé, one of our esteemed Level Designers, who has chosen to embark on the greatest adventure of all—retirement. Last week, our Quebec studio was filled with both joy and nostalgia as we celebrated Johannes's remarkable career. It was a moment to reflect on the countless hours of dedication and the magical worlds he helped bring to life. Johannes's influence on our games—and on us—cannot be overstated. His vision and passion for RPGs have left an indelible mark on our projects and the gaming community at large. As we bid farewell to Johannes, we're reminded of the impact one person can have on an entire universe. His legacy will continue to inspire both current and future generations of game developers and players. And though the curtain falls on this epic chapter of his life, the adventure does not end here. To Johannes: May your retirement be filled with new quests, adventures, and the joy of exploring worlds beyond our own. Your journey with us may have reached its conclusion, but the stories you've crafted will forever dwell in the heart of the gaming world. Farewell, and may your dice always roll in your favor. "The curtain falls on an epic chapter, but the adventure continues. Thank you, Johannes, for everything." 💛

Retiring just after working on one of the greatest games in the last 20+ years isn't bad at all.

Seeing game developers retire is very refreshing, we are getting to the point in the games industry where folks have been in the industry long enough TO retire. Hope she enjoys retirement 🙌

If Larian Studios was a dating profile, it would have the most "right swipes" ever. You guys do everything so well, a team full of phenomenal people that genuinely care for their product, and a leadership team that believes in their staff!

Very touching. It is great to witness people doing what they love until retirement, in a relatively young industry. Inspiring to say the least.
