Once in a blue moon a game comes along that really changes the trajectory of the industry. This was that game. It really has set a precedent for RPGs and just any game to come, that will be hard to top. So well deserved.
You can feel the love and care the team at Larian put into their game. It’s a ridiculously fun blend of systemic and bespoke gameplay on a scale that I’ve been wishing for since I was 13. I am consistently surprised and delighted by the quality of the writing and performances and I often play out doomed tactical encounters because they make me smile. Bravo, Larian. I can’t imagine a team more deserving of the honors you’re receiving. 👏👏👏👏👏
At some point your entire studio will be built out of awards...and deservedly so. Well done.
