What are the best (or perhaps most memorable) investments you've made in yourself? Not an expense - but the experiences or resources you are so happy you invested in because it completely changed your sense of self, mindset, and journey. Moving to San Francisco is one of the best investments I made. Here I find myself surrounded by people who are progressive, challenge expectations, balance logic and spirit, and more. Investing in building automations for myself have also been great. I love making software and shortcuts that can make my day-to-day experience more intentional and meaningful without having to think about it. (Intention without having to think about it? Ironic, I know, but it's a real thing.) I've also started investing in relationships of all kinds more than I have before. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes in my happiness to build and sustain a meaningful connection with people in a way that's unique to each person and dynamic as we grow, yet still authentic to myself. Now it’s your turn, what are your best investments?

I was at an investor conference recently and there was much discussion about what might be the ultimate investment. Real estate, SAAS, multi-family housing... these kept coming up. But it wasn't until the 2nd day that I heard someone say that the biggest payoff is investing in yourself. Of course that means different things to different people, but investing in gaining the skills and resources to be your very best always gets great returns. Investments, of course, always contain some risk. It's very similar to betting, really. By investing in ourselves, you are betting on you. Investing in ourselves goes beyond the occasional self-care Sunday. It's about continuous growth, learning, and pushing our boundaries. It's about recognizing our potential and taking bold steps to harness it. Whether it's pursuing further education, starting a new venture, or simply dedicating time to our passions, every action is a bet on our future selves. But, why is this so crucial? In a rapidly changing world, the only constant is our ability to adapt and grow. By betting on ourselves, we build resilience, confidence, and the skills necessary to thrive, no matter what life throws our way. So, I challenge you: Take a moment to reflect on the ways you're investing in yourself. Are you nurturing your talents? Are you seizing opportunities for growth? Are you betting on you?

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 $𝟓𝟎𝐤 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞-𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞? 👀 𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑑𝑜𝑛’𝑡 𝑠𝑎𝑦 $2-3𝑘. 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑝𝑖𝑑 🤦♂️ Now, I don’t say that putting in a low number is stupid from a place of judgment, but rather personal experience. Less than 5 years ago before I had experienced any kind of success, and when really wanted an opportunity to create wealth, I was afraid to spend $14 on a domain in case I didn’t make a good return on my investment 😢 It wasn’t me that was stupid... It was my thinking, the strategy I was using to try to create success that was stupid. After many years, 𝐼 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠 𝑤𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑜𝑏𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑠. What do I mean by that? 🤨 A web domain, an opportunity, a training - they don’t have a brain or consciousness. ‘They don’t work for us” - We make them work! This was a really important breakthrough for me because it meant I now had the responsibility of choice… To choose to be in charge of my future and the immediate results I was creating. My brother introduced me to a course on how to create money online. It cost $8k - it was the scariest investment I ever considered. But he said, “𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑓 𝑖𝑡 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑠 𝑦𝑜𝑢 5 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑑𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒, 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 $8𝑘 𝑏𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑡ℎ 𝑖𝑡”? - Of course 🎉 So I spent the money. It turned out to be a scheme - I don’t think I made any money from it… but it didn’t matter. But my return on investment was worth so much more 💎 𝐼𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑚𝑦𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝐼 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑒𝑛𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑡𝑜 𝑖𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑠𝑡 $8𝑘 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑒. And to make it work for me. IT didn’t make me money, I used IT to teach me to elevate my thinking and to trust myself so I could take bigger risks and then I had the thinking to make the money! 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫! The Learning was this... 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝑰 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆…. 🏆 Which requires a commitment to investing in myself. The X amount per month revenue generating machine!

Are you undervaluing the most important investment you can make—yourself? Let’s talk ROI, but not the kind you’re used to. You’re no stranger to calculating Return on Investment (ROI) in your work. Whether you’re an investor or a consultant, ROI is a go-to metric. But how often do you ask, “What’s the ROI on investing in myself?” I’ve had conversations with prospective clients who were considering free alternatives. They were seeking accountability and community without spending their own money. It got me thinking—what’s holding them back from truly investing in their personal growth? Do they doubt the ROI? Here’s the not-so-secret truth: real change starts when you invest in yourself, whether that’s time, money, or focus. It’s that initial investment that starts the ball rolling. Without that, you’re just deferring your potential growth. So, here’s my question: Do you believe in yourself enough to invest in yourself? If the answer is yes, then if not now, then when? Every day, week, or month you wait, you’re diminishing the opportunity to compound on your unique gifts, talents and abilities. PS. Do you know the worst possible time to start investing in yourself… …tomorrow. #career #clarity
