📢 Are you #opentowork or #hiring? I have a proposal for you. 📢
Being unemployed is tough. I personally experienced it several times, and I don't see anything exciting or relaxing about it.
I was constantly stressed, began to doubt myself, and questioned my skills and self-worth. I was on the verge of giving up. It profoundly impacted my #mentalhealth and I don't wish anyone to reach this state.
🧠 I have quite a few specialists in my network who are actively searching for work. They are Trust & Safety professionals, Content Moderators, Team Leads, Product Managers, Marketing Managers, Software Developers, and Software Engineers with 2-20 years of experience. 🧠
Not everyone has a huge LinkedIn network that they can leverage to their advantage. But I have. And I genuinely want to help.
Every Monday, I'll do a showcase of those I worked with, managed, or got a chance to know over the past years. These are the people I know, trust, and can vouch for their quality of work.
💡 If you're #opentowork and fall under any of these three categories - feel free to reach out. If you're #hiring, stay tuned - you don't want to miss these talents! 💡
Hello beautiful humans!
Unfortunately, for them, I’ve a lot of incredible friends looking for jobs.
Fortunately for you I’d love to give you the opportunity to hire them!
If you or anyone you know is hiring, comment on this thread. I’d love to create a more direct way for folks to find jobs. It seems like it’s chaos now and a lot of awesome jobs are being washed out by white noise.
Let’s see if this works!

It’s official, I need your help as I’m #opentowork. I know the green banner is up in many of your networks due to layoffs and current market conditions. Two things from the #Stoics come to mind entering the search:
1. The obstacle is the way - it’s tough for everyone but the only way to do it is to go through it. There is no way around it so we must go through it.
2. Amor Fati - which is Latin for ”love one’s fate.” Marcus Aurelius constantly talks about seeing change as a natural part of life and that it’s not only something to be expected but embraced.
If you know of an open role - for me or in general - please comment, share or message. Or if you want to tell the world how much you enjoyed working with me that’s ok too!

To whom may concerns,
I am looking for a hybrid or remote job in software development department or any IT related field department due to my health condition that affected my current working environment and team.
I am skillful enough and willing to learn new things as I love learning and embrace new journey, as long as you can provide the necessities.
I hope my connection can consider to repost and growth this post so that hiring management can see this post. Feel free to reach me for my resume or contact information regarding my current project or past.
Last but not least, I really love my current job, even the small things of it. But due to my health condition, I think I am more than a burden than team-supporter myself.
Thanks, connection.
Have a great day.
I have now been #opentowork for 1 month, after being impacted by significant #layoffs within my previous company. I have experienced a wave of emotions - confusion, anger, sadness, more confusion, and more sadness (in that order). I'm absolutely determined to find the right fit, and won't stop until I do.
The #jobsearch continues at full throttle within the #riskmanagement, #processimprovement, #businessprocessmanagement, #processexcellence, and #managementconsulting spaces - and I am still asking my entire #network to help the right company #hireme.
I absolutely refuse to bombard companies with applications (as this rarely works), and I am only #seekingopportunities that align to my very wide-ranging skill sets. If your company is hiring, I am asking you to please alert me to any #openroles that are currently (or about to be) advertised.

With the over 7% global layoff happening in the game industry world wide this last week, many of my recruiter connections are debating the "#Opentowork" banner and hiring unemployed individuals.
There are a million reasons people have the "#opentowork" banner.
Personal Example: I am a contractor who has started, not long ago, and is open to new contracts or non-contract positions.
Example with permission: One of my connections was laid off during the COVID aftermath employment crash. They took sometime off to spend with their kids, spouse, and dying parents. Now they are once again open to work after 2 years.
These are just 2 examples with so many more that I am aware and unaware of. Give people a chance.
When it comes to startup layoffs, I often think it's harder to watch my colleagues go while I keep my job than it is to be let go myself. I've survived through three rounds of layoffs in the last six months, and now it's my turn—best of both worlds, right?
Lowering headcount is often the easiest way to quickly cut costs, and sometimes the only way to actually extend runway long enough to hit the next milestone, but it is always the hardest on the souls of leadership and often deeply damaging to the team's morale.
For the people who are there to pick up the pieces, making it through is an emotional rollercoaster riddled with relief, survivors guilt, optimism due to extended runway, uncertainty that leadership made the right choice(s), the general anxiety that comes with thrash, the concern that there may be more layoffs coming... Yeah, not fun.
For people who are laid off and haven't been in that tough decision making role, it can feel like a slap to the face when the previously optimistic attitude of leadership changes overnight and they suddenly are left without a job. Perhaps even less fun.
As a founder that has learned it through failure, I understand the difficult decision making going into cost-cutting decisions, and I know that good leaders who have to make headcount cuts are kept up at night thinking about the impact of their decisions to layoff employees just as much as (if not more than) they are kept awake thinking about their runway. I understand when my role needs to be taken off of the financial forecast, and I don't envy any startup CEO who has to lead four rounds of layoffs in six months and somehow be human through all of it.
I love startups—the challenge of building a new product, the excitement of finding a path into an underserved market, and the opportunities to learn and grow are unparalleled and keep me coming back. Sometimes the rollercoaster ride is bumpy, and my former colleagues and I have been on one hell of a rollercoaster over the last six months. My time to get off of this ride has come.
All of that being said, I am looking for a new role in Product and you can bet your 401k I want the next one to be at a startup, too.
Guess who is #opentowork? I am, as are some excellent former colleagues!
If you or anyone you know of is looking to fill a remote or LA-based senior PM or similar role at an exciting startup, I would be thrilled to learn more about the company and role and begin the process of determining if there is a good fit.
If you're looking to fill a different type of role in any location, I know a lot of lovely people who are both excellent at what they do and wonderful to work with—a number of them are now open to various roles across software engineering, marketing, content, operations, and people. I love making introductions—just let me know the type of candidate you'd like to be introduced to😊
Please don't hesitate to repost for visibility if you're so inclined.
Bah... Airtable’s layoffs last week were yet another doozy.
I recently saw a stat somewhere that the total # of people laid off based on full months in 2023 is 224,503 😩
Doom and gloom aside, let's get it community: who’s hiring, esp. for AMs and CSMs?
If you see this and are hiring, please comment below with JDs and roles!
I'll post a round-up tomorrow.
I’m happy to help connect folks as best as I can, esp. with AM and CS teams who need great account managers and customer success managers that live and breathe customer-centricity all day erryday.
With your help, I also want to curate a database of open AM and CSM roles so that folks who are looking can quickly find their next work home.
