Recently, at the Burleson Chamber Charity Expo, we captured a heartwarming moment: our team member Mica presenting the Kate Spade handbag to a lucky winner – a gentleman who enthusiastically supports our cause. This picture is more than just a giveaway moment; it symbolizes the broad and inclusive support for women's education. 🤝 Men as Allies in Empowerment 🤝 This event highlighted a significant yet often overlooked aspect – the valuable role men play in supporting initiatives focused on women's education. It's a reminder that empowerment is a universal mission, transcending gender lines. We're proud to have men actively involved in our committees, contributing their perspectives and efforts towards this noble cause. 💭 Your Motivation Matters On this note, we're curious to hear from you: "What motivates you to volunteer or support local charities, and how has it enriched your understanding of our community's needs?" Every act of support, big or small, shapes our understanding of the diverse needs within our community and how we can collectively address them. 🙏 Gratitude and Encouragement 🙏 We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters, irrespective of gender, for their unwavering commitment to women's education. Your involvement is a testament to the power of community and the impact of collective efforts. Let's continue to break barriers and build bridges for a more inclusive and educated world. Growth Catalyst helping purpose-driven people and organizations develop sustainable systems for efficient revenue growth, employee engagement, and long term success.
I’m so proud that my business is still a #BCorp! We’ve been through some changes since our last certification, but one significant change that I want to share with you is the Designed to Give business model. The new footer on our website says it best: **As a passionate participant of the B Corp movement and the Designed to Give impact business model, Open Lines donates a minimum of 1% of our revenue to values-aligned nonprofits, as well as providing the equivalent of 5% or more of our time through pro-bono services to values-aligned organizations and individuals of all kinds.** That means that 1% of all revenue goes out the door and at least 5% of my time goes to pro-bono work, and that doesn’t even include the equity discounts I offer to queer and BIPOC founders! Let’s hear it for #bcorpcertification and #businessasaforceforgood!

It's 10 days until International Women's Day! Here are three ideas on how you can invest in women 🌠 1) Give power back to women experiencing domestic violence by becoming a HER Board sponsor. Women need a steady, stable organisation and ongoing support to leave domestic violence behind. Join us at herboard.org.au. 2) Organise your own fundraiser. Giving collectively allows your impact to be that much greater. This year, 4FivePlus Collective are cycling around Perth in the morning of IWD to raise donations for Luma! 3) Be part of the conversation. We've come a long way with women's rights. But we still have a long way to go. We believe that change starts here. It starts with us. It starts with a conversation. We'll be joining the conversation and sharing our perspective on March 8th, with our counsellors, nurses, executives and health workers sharing their ideas on how we can all invest more into women and girls. #Luma #IWD2024 #Investinwomen

https://lnkd.in/eF_Jc863 MacKenzie Scott makes $20M donation to "double the number of workers nationwide who are in good jobs despite systemic barriers." Powerful work under the catagory of #Inclusion. Inclusion does not leave any group out, that would be the definition of exclusion. In the face of senseless loss, our collective outrage must fuel action. To curb the alarming rates of women escaping domestic and family violence, we hold immense power. Understanding the drivers behind such violence is our first step. Holding friends and family accountable for attitudes perpetuating gender inequality is crucial. Every contribution matters, and a simple act like donating $2 per week can empower organisation’s like RizeUp, ensuring life-changing assistance reaches those affected. Everyone has the ability to make a difference; let's leverage it together. #EndDomesticViolence #BreakTheSilence
