Most of us welcome hot weather, but when it's too hot, there are health risks. The main risks posed by a heatwave are: ☀️Not drinking enough water (dehydration) ☀️Overheating, which can make symptoms worse for people who already have problems with their heart or breathing ☀️Heat exhaustion and heatstroke If you or someone else feels unwell with a high temperature during hot weather, it may be heat exhaustion or heatstroke. How to keep warm over the winter months, I have found the most cost-effective way when working in the conservatory is by having a gas bottled heater and is more cost effective to have central heating keeping the house at one temperature this can help to prevent colds, flu and more serious health problems such as heart attacks, strokes, pneumonia and depression. Heat your home to a temperature that's comfortable for you. Do follow and please comment.

As of today, June 4, more than 36 million people across the South West and West Coast are under an active National Weather Service (NWS) extreme heat advisory, watch, or warning. With summer approaching, we want to remind everyone about the importance of recognizing and preventing heat stroke. ⚠️ Heat stroke is a serious condition that occurs when the body overheats to dangerous levels. Symptoms include confusion, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, nausea, and even loss of consciousness. It's vital to recognize these signs early to prevent serious health complications. Here are some tips to stay safe and prevent heat stroke: 1️⃣ Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty. 2️⃣ Take breaks: Schedule regular breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas to cool down. 3️⃣ Know your limits: Pace yourself and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day. 4️⃣ Watch out for each other: Keep an eye on your coworkers and report any signs of heat illness immediately.
