33 is my first birthday in Finland. I was nervous because I just moved here and didn't know how to celebrate or with whom. I was surprised with overwhelming support 💜 Thanks for making my bday a memorable one

People, who are always trying to take every opportunity from me, people who are making sure that my life is a tragedy whatever I do, people who are making me suffer like it’s a hell on earth, who are you? Why can’t you do the same for successful people like Lex.
Lex, I am sorry, I like you very much. I don’t mean anything bad for you. I am just trying to show the people who only wants to make me suffer that there are successful and lucky people who could afford to take a little setback.
I am sorry. But I am just trying my best to make them understand….
I am torn into pieces by these hungry people who want to hurt me again and again, to take from me. Why can’t they see other successful and happy people? Or are they out of reach to them?
There are so many successful and happy people out there. They could actually afford to take a setback or two. And if you have taken the success or job from someone else, don’t hesitate to give your job to others.
We need to build the processes to protect innocent people like me.
When someone is fired for another’s selfish reasons, all morals break lose here. It discourages people to even try. And there would be absolutely nothing to take from.
Lex, could please cover this in your next podcast about why people are not taking from you or other successful people? Please!! That would be a greatest question to ponder over.
Happy birthday America!
To me, it is the greatest nation on Earth ❤
I'm forever grateful for this country, for this life, for all of you for giving a silly immigrant kid like me a chance.
I love you all! ❤

May 8. May-8. Mate. 🤝
Today is the 8th of May, and while you might not recognise the date (and might not have any idea what it’s symbolic of), we’re here to tell you that today IS pretty important for some of us.
Suggested as a better, more appropriate and respectful day to celebrate ‘Australia Day’ (which we, here at EVER, do not celebrate on the 26th of January), the 8th of May is a day to focus on friendship and connection.
If you, like us, don’t celebrate the 26th of January, and are looking for a different day to love our country and the people who live here, it might be worth considering May 8.

How African Communities in the UK Celebrate ChristmasChristmas celebrations within African communities in the UK often blend traditional African customs and British festive traditions. Here are some key aspects:Traditional selfie.
Why do we celebrate national or international days?
In a world where we get to hear that celebration is not dependent on dates, we still have specific days and dates to witness celebration of an event.
Reason for this:
1) 𝙸𝚗 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚖𝚎𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗: We mark birth or death anniversaries or any life event of a person depicting their values in life or their vision.
2) 𝚃𝚘 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜: we have particular days for Some issues, event or traditions which needs to be addressed or need an action in current world.
3) 𝙷𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚕 𝙴𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝: 𝙿articular days on which any milestone was achieved or which contributed in shaping history are declared as a specific day to show their importance.
4) S𝚢𝚖𝚋𝚘𝚕𝚜: Many days are symbol of something worthy to remember.
5) 𝚄𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢: We are together but we need specific days to be together,to cultivate the power of unity and to remind that we are a family, a global family.

Yesterday I attended a music concert which featured a pipe band. I always find it so very evocative and was moved to tears a couple of times. Pipe music is such a strong connection to Scottish culture for me.
As I was listening last night - feeling moved by the stirring tunes - I thought about the link to culture of the First Nations of this land we now call Australia.
I imagined what it might have been like people from elsewhere had arrived in Scotland in great numbers, assumed there weren't many of us around, and so decided that the music that I love, and the language and the people that were already there, weren't worthy and could be dismissed and disregarded. And not only that, that the original inhabitants of that land would "not be counted" and would be banned from acknowledging or celebrating their culture in any way.
Australia is the home of the oldest living culture in the world. But instead of this being a point of considerable pride, it is in fact the last of the "first world" colonies to recognise First Nations people in the constitution.
As I write this out, I can't quite believe that not only do some people think that's not something that should happen, but that the rest of us think it's anywhere near enough to address the far reaching and profound injustices that have been imposed on First Nations people on this land.
I feel so very grateful to have landed in this bit of the world and had the opportunity to learn about the importance of a strong and enduring connection to land and culture - my life is the richer for it.
I understand that true reconciliation can seem complicated for white Australians or non-Aboriginal Australians who can trace their Australian ancestors back a few generations. But if Aboriginal people can keep coming back to the table to be involved in a dialogue about how to move forward more fairly despite the discomfort of the systemic and individual racism that they experience every day, then I know non-Aboriginal people can be strong enough to tolerate the discomfort of what has gone before, so that together we can move forward towards an Australia that can acknowledge and right the past wrongs and celebrate our past and future in all its richness.
