Very insightful and interesting listen. Employers could learn a lot from some of the more innovative recruitment models and office set ups covered in this documentary. The initiatives here are so refreshing and simple to implement! What are we waiting for?!

The implementation of DEI programs were created by organizations to promote inclusion, mental wellness, and training around unconscious biases to address inequity in the workplace. Then explicit positions were created with the sole purpose to support this renewed focus. We are now seeing the promise of investing to make a more inclusive workplace through these positions being taken back. With recent events such as the cut back of affirmative action for college admissions, organizations are becoming apprehensive on how to continue investing in such programs. #woke #dei #inclusion https://lnkd.in/ey3g--cn

It can be excruciating waiting for an employer to get back to you. That’s because when YOU (the job candidate) are waiting to be sent an Offer … time moves SO slowly. For the employer, who is meeting with their team internally to confirm the terms of the Offer… time moves very fast. 3 days of your time feels like an eternity. 3 days of an employer’s time feels like 1/2 hour. Although it’s tough, breathing deeply, being patient and waiting is often part of the process. As a reminder: I work 1:1 with young adults (ages 18-34). I support them in identifying their career direction and guide them through the job search/networking process into landing the job that will launch their career. More information is on my website: daphnewoolf.com or call/text me at: (647) 969-0561.

Building strong relationships based on trust, connection, and activation of hope, with your teams and your clients is what will create lasting change and greater outcomes for all.
A '𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁' approach is key 🗝️ Kelly was inspiried by comments from Julian Hill MP, at the NESA Conference last month where he talked about less focus on compliance and more focus on relationships. As someone who's been in employment services for almost 20 years, she's on the money when it comes to knowing what works best for the most vulnerable cohorts who access services. "For job coaches to be highly effective, they need fewer administration and compliance tasks as these limit the time available to build quality relationships. The systems need to be more efficient and effective so that more time can be spent with job seekers. Frontline staff should lean into hope activation and take a wellbeing-first approach by focusing on bolstering their clients' wellbeing, which will lead to positive outcomes in employment, personal life, and community." Our whitepaper "Activating Hope in Employment Services" recommends that all providers take a 'relationships-first' approach. Find out more here 👉 https://bit.ly/3FjMcui

Happy May Day! 🌼 Let's celebrate our incredible team's hard work and dedication. Your code keeps our dreams soaring! 🚀 "May Day, which is also called 'Tag der Arbeit' in German, is a special day we celebrate on May 1st. It's a day to think about and appreciate the hard work that people do every day to make our lives better. This includes people like teachers, doctors, farmers, and many others who have jobs to help our community and our world. May Day is like a big 'Thank You!' to these workers. In some places, there are parades and events where people march together to show their support for workers' rights, which means they want to make sure that all workers are treated fairly and get fair pay for their work. It's also a day to remember that in the past, workers had to fight for their rights to have good working conditions, fair wages, and a safe workplace. Long ago, there was an important event called the 'Haymarket affair' in Chicago, and that's one reason why we celebrate May Day. It reminds us of the struggles workers faced in the past and why we need to keep working to make sure everyone is treated fairly at work. So, on May Day, we celebrate workers, their rights, and the importance of working together to make the world a better place for everyone." This explanation should be simple enough for 5th-grade students to understand the basic concept of May Day and why it's celebrated. You can then expand on specific details or answer any questions they may have based on their level of interest and comprehension. #Pradeepitconsulting #PradeepITCares #pradeepIT #TagDerArbeit #Teamwork
