As I reflect on the past 5 Years at Salesforce. I want to thank Tori Dumont for taking a chance on me in 2019. I want to thank Sarah Keren, Britni Borrelli (Freiboth), Carlos Castro 📈, Nishant Chandra, Sean O'Keefe and Chris Massey for continuing to challenge me. Below I have put together 5 lessons I have learned over the past 5 years as advice for those looking to get to started in Software. 1. Put yourself in your customers shoes. Provide empathy and focus on building the right point of view for them. 2. Know what and when to prioritize. 3. Build your BRAND! No one else is going to do it for you. 4. Collaboration is key. Work as a team, Identify who and how they can help you grow. 5. Balance is critical! Ensure you are able to live a life that is balanced and focused on how you want! Dear Network, Today marks my 5 year anniversary at Salesforce, the longest I have ever been with any company ⏳ . Salesforce is all about changing, adapting and creating and I do not lie when I say that there is never a dull moment - neither are there many easy days 😅 . Since 2006 I am loyal to my customer base - the EU institutions 🇪🇺 , later joined by NATO and after that by the Belgian Public Sector 🇧🇪 . Digital Transformation has shaped our private lives over the past years significantly and we start seeing a positive impact in the Government Sector - it is a privilege to be part of this journey. Some of the things in a career that IMO always hold true are: we always (always!) deal with people. Listening to and acknowledging the other person’s position is important. Trust is earned and integrity goes a long way. And as we deal from human to human, be yourself. Being yourself, myself in my case actually, comes with challenges too. With the realization that I really am bad at many things. With the realization that this is ok, as long as I communicate about my weaknesses with clients, colleagues and superiors. It also comes with the realization that after many years in business, regularly ‘muscle memory’ kicks in and one can trust oneself and one’s experience. And, very importantly: it’s OK to be not OK - supporting your team members is paramount. Asking for support is absolutely fine. Because a career is a marathon, not a sprint. Smell the roses every now and then 🌹. There are so many people at Salesforce I would need to mention here as you make my work rewarding and fun - so I keep it at (the slightly lame I know I know...) ‘You Know Who You Are’. However there are three individuals who made me boomerang back to Salesforce three years ago and I want to you to know that I never looked back! Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️ Amy Weaver, Casey Coleman and Kevin Paschuck! In conclusion (of my probably longest LinkedIn Post ever - but I am ready to stand corrected should you dig one up) I am grateful and happy to be part of Salesforce. Would I do it again? Hell yeah! TLDR: Andreas is 5 years at Salesforce and pretty stoked about it 🚀

Hello, world!!! I'm very excited to share my Big Day which is Oct 31st, 2023...One of my dreams has come true. It's my 1st day in Salesforce , My Dream Company 😇 💃 🎉 Also, I would like to share one of my all-time favorite quotes from Alchemist "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." I remember one day( almost a year ago), I commented on someone's post saying " I will also join Salesforce one day" when they got an offer from Salesforce (will drop the link of the post in the comment section 😅 ). Finally, the day has come ❤️ It is really not easy for me to get into Salesforce It took a lot of effort and time. I worked extra hours in my previous organization without any hesitation. when everybody was having fun and spending time with their loved ones during non-working hours, I was taking up extra tasks and solving them ( as a Salesforce Developer) and I am happy doing so. I tried applying 23 times in Salesforce from last year November. And got rejected 22 times because of so many reasons. Fortunately, I have never quit trying 😊 My goal was clear and that helped me to upskill and learn new things to achieve it. Two things that really made my dream come true: 1) Never lose Hope. 2) With Patience and Hardwork everything is possible. Thank You Salesforce 😊 #salesforce #dreamjob #happiness #hardwork
