30 years ago today (July 1, 1994) Peter Cohen started Ramius in a small office on the 14th floor of 452 Fifth Avenue across from the New York Public Library. I was fortunate to be employee #1. It was a bold idea to start an Alternative Investment Firm when alternative investments weren't yet an industry. But Peter had a vision and I was happy to be in a position where I could help make it a reality. I never could have imagined how amazing the future would turn out to be over the next 3 decades - the ups, the downs, the wins, the losses...the incredible friends and colleagues made...the journey. I am fortunate to have had someone in my life who saw something special in me when it was a lot less obvious. Happy 30th, PC ! #grateful
Wow, those games were so much fun, and the camaraderie was incredible! Working for you and these incredible men was the best experience I've ever had. The way we were treated was exceptional. Thanks for sharing and for all the great memories. Best wishes to everyone and their families. Happy 4th of July!
Truly incredible! Keep it going. Congratulations.
Jeff - So glad we met back in 1998. It's amazing how far you and your team have come and the things you have achieved together. You had a major impact on my trajectory as well. I will always be thankful.
Time really flies… and such a great place to have spent a good chunk of my career!
Amazing story! He saw in you, what we all see:)

Die fortschrittsfähige Organisation als Leitbild hin zur nachhaltigen Unternehmung.
4dCongrats to the 4Cs (posthum to Morgan). Such an honor to work with you more than twenty years ago! Still, the one of a kind highlight of my career: Coming as a German into Peter’s office for the first time facing his support for a NY holocaust foundation. 15 month project between Munich, Vienna, London and NY with meetings in tap-proof meeting rooms at Kroll Investigation, getting one day of interview technique lessons from a former MI5 agent at the Vienna airport, an unfriendly takeover of the own fund of hedge fund and - after doing due diligence - merging it with another fund of fund. Finally the closing dinner in midtown Manhatten. Tom’s closing dinner speech ‚At long last’ is still behind my desk. Unforgettable. All the best to you!
