“This is the most exciting time in the history of T1D. Our work directly led to the development of automated insulin delivery systems and the first FDA-approved therapy to delay T1D onset. You made that happen. Every family Walk team, advocate, and partner played a part. Thanks to decades of work by this organization and our community, we know what cures are going to look like. Thanks to our research, people have received transplanted islets in clinical trials and are making insulin again. We will continue to work tirelessly until we achieve the ultimate T1D breakthrough: Cures.” – Sanjoy Dutta, Ph.D, Breakthrough T1D Chief Scientific Officer  For more information on how we are powering research breakthroughs, visit the link below. https://bit.ly/4c6pNPG

My wife and I have been praying for a cure since our little girls were diagnosed within months of one another at the ages of 4 and 2 in 2007.

Well done! MAY THE DEFINITIVE CURE FOR TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS ARRIVE IN SPAIN AND ANDALUSIA AT THE END OF THIS YEAR OR THE FIRST OF THE YEAR 2025, LET'S SAY GOODBYE FOREVER TO INSULIN PUMPS, SENSORS AND PUNCTURES.

The support from JDRF is unwavering, there are not enough words to describe how much they have done and keep on doing for type 1 diabetes. Amazing leadership team. Always grateful for the support I have received as an academic investigator.
