Over 8.4 million people worldwide live with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Let's raise awareness and bust myths about what life with T1D is like. Share this post to help educate others! #T1D #BreakthroughT1D
I wish type 1 was called “idiopathic hyperglycemia” because that’s what it is. High blood sugar of unknown origin. It’s entirely different than type 2 diabetes, which can be controlled without insulin. Sadly my kid has to educate both adults and kids when they say things like “you’ll get more diabetes if you eat that brownie.” So much ignorance. Awareness is key!! Thanks for sharing!
Excited about our new name and the continued impact we will bring to find a cure for Type 1 and drive true breakthroughs for patients!!! Let’s Go!!!!
Sharing to increase awareness … please review the signs and symptoms so you can provide help and support to anyone experiencing them. Let’s all support a cure for T1D. #BreakthroughT1D
MAY THE DEFINITIVE CURE FOR TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS ARRIVE IN SPAIN AND ANDALUSIA AT THE END OF THIS YEAR OR THE FIRST OF THE YEAR 2025, LET'S SAY GOODBYE FOREVER TO INSULIN PUMPS, SENSORS AND PUNCTURES.
I just added the initial teenage years to my child’s T1D and realized this combination is relentless. I am hoping there is increased philanthropic support and a greater understanding that working towards a cure are extremely important!
Yes!! More people need to understand what I and others go through on a daily basis and that when we have issues , they are NOT on purpose or for sympathy. I have spent a great deal of my life being criticized and many other things because I am T1D. Definitely let's raise awareness!!
42 years, its been an adventure to say the least.

1moWe just passed our daughters 2nd Dia-versary. In 2022 we missed all the signs that are clear as day now. We learned so much since then....how to help her manage it. Still never easy as she's always managing highs and lows, but I'll take that any day as it could have been much worse. Knowing the signs is so important. And agree...should be called something else. #T1D
