I am frequently asked how you turn around an organization with decades of operating a certain way in the healthcare industry that is resistant to change. I’ve been in the healthcare sector for 25 years and the answer is: you read the fine print, follow the rules and regulations and execute on behalf of, in this case, the community and patients, while focused on your true north. All the bullying and threats and intimidation tactics that come with changing an industry is why “the first through the wall gets bloodied”. This is about change regardless of industry.
