This morning, a raid team cleared the Salvation’s Edge raid in Destiny 2, which unlocked the closing chapter in Final Shape: an epic 12 person live mission to fight and defeat the Witness once and for all, and the ultimate narrative chapter in the Light/Dark saga. What transpired this morning has been unforgettable as a developer, and as a 10 year Destiny fan. Hundreds of thousands of people playing together, hooting, hollering… and even shedding tears, as this saga reaches its end… and another begins. (And hundreds of thousands more doing so right now! If you haven’t played yet, go go go!) This kind of experience is something unique to games, and a big reason I was drawn to interactive storytelling in the first place. Seeing the effort of each team member who poured so much care and passion into their work pay off - it’s a once in a lifetime privilege to experience, and I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of it. To everyone who has also been a part of this, on the dev side, or in-game: thank you. What a day. ❤️
I’ve been around since the very beginning and this has been the most fun I’ve had playing.
Massive props to you and the team. I started the destiny journey 10 years ago, but fell behind somewhat in recent years, due to life stuff. You should all feel incredibly proud. Very few get to experience moments like this. Hope you all enjoy the deserved praise and recognition!
It's clear the team at Bungie had a tremendous amount of fun making this. So much heart put into the story and love reciprocated to the players, I'm enjoying every moment of this expansion!
To think that I started playing when I was 14 years old… this expansion was the icing on the cake 😎 so much fun! Prismatic FTW 😏
I have been following all the reviews closely, seeing this deliver for the players in the way that it has, that's the dream dude, so happy for Bungie and the incredible efforts of all involved, a special congrats to you Jimmie Myers and the whole team let everyone know they knocked it out of the park.
