A Step-By-Step Image Guide on How to Use GoDaddy email Properly

Hello GoDaddy, We are using GoDaddy hosting services, and we've noticed a significant increase of 400% in pricing compared to last year. For example, we paid Rs.2,200/- per account for Microsoft email plan last year. This year for renewals GoDaddy is asking for Rs.8,000/- per account. We see a similar increase for other products as well. However, I respectfully disagree with this pricing strategy and would like to express my concerns: Lack of Transparency: Customers rely on consistent and transparent pricing structures to plan their budgets effectively Affordability Issues: Such a drastic price hike puts strain on small businesses and individuals who rely on cost-effective hosting solutions Customer Satisfaction: Sudden price increases can lead to dissatisfaction among customers, potentially causing them to seek alternative hosting providers Long-Term Consequences: While short-term revenue gains may seem appealing, alienating loyal customers could have detrimental effects on GoDaddy's reputation and market share in the long run. I urge GoDaddy's CEO to reconsider this pricing strategy and prioritize fair and reasonable pricing that aligns with the needs of its diverse customer base. #godaddy #godaddypricing

Many Sr.-Level deliverability specialists (18-25 years of experience) are very technical from my experience... However... You would not believe the amount of extremely technical people, including Directors of IT, who know almost nothing about proper DNS authentication records. Attached is a screenshot from a SAAS company with both DKIM and SPF issues, thus DMARC failed. They're using SendGrid to email their new customer login info and probably customer lost password emails, a common practice. I was working with a "make money online" client over 5 months ago and told them their customer welcome email with login info and lost password emails were not properly authenticated with SendGrid. Told their IT department who refused to let anyone touch their CloudFlare account. It's still not authenticated properly despite claims to the contrary, the custom dkim records I had them setup for their esp have been now deleted (on accident) by their team... twice. There's definitely a lot of technical people who understand DNS authentication for sure. I just happen to see the opposite quite a bit, especially with SendGrid. So make sure you're tech guy (or department) really knows what they're doing and don't lose sight of third-party apps emailing on your behalf versus solely focusing on just your ESP. *** EMAIL TECHNICAL QUESTION *** *** What is the best way to move my Godaddy MS 365 email service (I have two domains I use for email) from Godaddy to MS or potentially another email system entirely? *** I host two inactive domains/websites I own on Godaddy, but I do get email to both those domains. Both domains are registered with Godaddy, but I'm slowly moving all my registered domains to another registrar. I've learned the wisdom of keeping my domain registrar and a my web hosting services separate. I want to come off of Godaddy entirely. So, the plan in my head is: 1. Get my existing MS 365 Outline email hosted through Godaddy moved to MS itself or another email service (I'm not quite sure how that works). I'm open to not using Outlook. I used generic email service before Godaddy made us switch to MS 365 email. NOTE: My email is important in my workflow and I can't lose any emails during this process.) 2. Once my two email addresses are moved, move the two domain registrations at which I get email to another registrar. I know this will break my two websites on Godaddy, but they are both woefully out of date and I'm going to rebuild them both entirely anyway on another service like Wix, Squarepeg, or something similar. I don't care if my websites are down for a while. 3. Recreate my two websites on a new web hosting service. 4. Move the remaining domains registered with Godaddy to another registrar if they haven't been moved already. 5. Close my Godaddy account entirely. Any insight into this process would be helpful. It's hurting my brain trying to figure it out on my own.

Important! Update DNS by Feb 1, 2024!!! In late 2023, Gmail and Yahoo announced changes that require you to authenticate and add a DMARC record on your domain if you’d like to continue sending emails from a branded email address. In a nutshell, your customer service emails and highly converting promo newsletters may bounce in DROVES. If you don't know what to do, or you're uncertain what exactly this even means (as MANY successful entrepreneur super delegators), ask your tech person ASAP! If you hire out third party webmasters, I.T., or have designated platform partners, DON'T take this for granted! Often times, the roles of a web partner can be murky. They can be GREAT at hosting your website, but not update these VITAL aspects of your eCommerce success. Ask, talk about it, open up the conversation and make SURE this gets done. The year before, gmail placed similar requirements for spf and/or dkim on domain based emails. My company had a Magento partner, and this same company actually set up our emails. However, it wasn't in their work flow to update or even warn us of these changes. After several fruitless support tickets regarding our email deliverabilty problems, I had to figure this out myself by scrutinizing the bounced email headers, researching on Google and opening a MailChimp support ticket. The cogs of the eCommerce machine grown more nuanced and complex each year. Specialists emerge in every area from digital ads to ADA to cloud hosting. But there is no bible. Little 5 minute tweaks such as this can float below your entire IT team's radar and devastate operations. If you own or work for an eCommerce company, please bring up these new requirements to management. And management, don't assume the right people will know this needs to get done. Disappointment: GoDaddy from the perspective of an 18-year client. - If you chargeback a product for incorrect charges through your financial institution, everything on the charge will be removed from your account, including active websites, and your domains will be sold to someone else within hours of an auto-generated email. - GoDaddy Customer Service is outsourced to a contracting company in the Philippines, which blocks customer service resolution, and it is recommended that one go to godaddy.com and look for the contact number of their legal department if the contracted resolution service cannot assist you. - GoDaddy will notify clients via email vs. gain approval to charge double in price for grandfathered products such as Discount Domain Club. - GoDaddy will charge SSL (https) fees to websites no longer in operation that have been canceled through their service for years on end if you don't notice.
