🌟 Embracing Gender Equality in the Financial Sector 🌟 We are happy to share another great speaker for our Gender Equality conference on 25th June at Marinehallen "Gøy i Havet". As a leader in the financial industry, Thina Margrethe Saltvedt has witnessed the transformative power of gender equality. She has seen how diversity fuels innovation and drives sustainable growth throughout her career. Her journey includes leading the Expert Committee on Climate-Friendly Investments, appointed by the Norwegian Government in 2021, serving as Chief Analyst in the Sustainable Finance Department at Nordea since 2018, and working as an Oil Analyst at Nordea Markets from 2006 to 2018. Before these roles, she handled Operational Risk at Nordea Markets from 2004 to 2006 and worked at Norges Bank from 2001 to 2004. Through her various roles, Thina Saltvedt has actively contributed to the importance of fostering an inclusive environment and has had her voice heard and valued in the financial sector and other industries. Her leadership of the Expert Committee on Climate-Friendly Investments is a testament to her commitment to promoting policies that uphold environmental sustainability and gender equality. Gender equality is not just a social necessity; it's a strategic advantage for businesses. We at Havets Verdiskapere, Mariann Frantsen and Monica R. Langeland firmly believe that diverse teams are more adept at problem-solving, more innovative, and ultimately more successful. However, we acknowledge the existing challenges, from the need for more career advancement opportunities for women to eradicating harassment. By championing gender equality, Havets Verdiskapere believes we can unlock the workforce's full potential and drive the financial sector toward a more sustainable and equitable future. We encourage everyone to continue breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for all. Register at: https://lnkd.in/dp6h3HQq #GenderEquality #SustainableFinance #DiversityAndInclusion #nordea

📢 #summaryreleased! How does gender interact with the drive toward sustainability in the economy and society? How can we foster gender equality in the workplace? Integrating the gender dimension plays a twofold central role in the transition towards sustainability. On the one hand, according to recent studies, women in leadership positions have been seen to consistently integrate sustainability in business and investment decisions further. On the other hand, particularly in developing countries, the consequences of climate change have a greater impact on women, therefore requiring larger attention. 💡If you would like to gain further insights on this topic, have a look at our latest summary report. The summary report covers some of the key highlights from the webinar “What’s the role of women’s leadership in the transition to sustainability?” organised by the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) and the University of Luxembourg in October 2023. It also refers to academic research reports and studies that analysed gender equality and sustainability. It additionally looks at the role of quotas and finance and how women’s leadership can impact the transition towards sustainability, among others. A big thank you to the speakers and the moderators for their valuable insights and contribution: Michael Halling, Carmen Niethammer, Maria L., Edith Ginglinger #genderbalance #womeninfinance #sustainablefinance #ESG
