We’re wishing a Happy Father’s Day to all fathers and father figures 💙. At J.Crew we’re committed to creating a community where all associates feel seen and supported. We recognize that there are many paths to parenthood and provide inclusive benefits to support our associates as they grow their families. We offer a wide range of benefits to support the transition to fatherhood—from our partnership with Progyny which includes fertility treatments, fertility preservation, and donor tissue, to surrogacy and adoption programs, and paid bonding leave. We also have a hybrid working model and Flexible Fridays (HQ employees are able to complete their workdays at 1:00 p.m. year-round) which busy parents and caregivers can appreciate! Our working parent and caregiving community at JCG comes together in our Family Associate Impact Group (AIG) to connect and positively impact each other, J.Crew, and beyond. This AIG is a communal space for support that provides the opportunity to bond and discuss the unique challenges this community faces. #FathersDay #Family #AIG #JCrew

Nearly three-quarters of employees would consider leaving their current company for better family benefits, according to new research by Ovia Health. Their research reveals that employees are seeking more than just extended paid parental leave; they are also looking for benefits in areas such as pregnancy loss leave and support for alternative family planning, including adoption, surrogacy, and foster care. As of right now, very few employees have access to these types of family benefits, with the percentage of those who have access to surrogacy or foster care support in the single digits. This discrepancy highlights the gap between the benefits offered by employers and those desired by employees. Developing offerings like these may take time, but it raises an important question: How well do you know your employees? A benefits survey could help identify any disparities in your benefits programs. Want to learn more? Tag me in the comments. #BenefitsSurvey #WomensHealthcare #EmployeeBenefits

We believe that policy evolution is key to sustaining the momentum we have in our ED&I ambitions. And our latest policy announcement builds on that - now rolling out across Europe, we are providing 10 weeks paid leave to the co-parent, which we'd previously called Paternity Leave. The updated policy means co-parents can now spend 10 weeks with their child during those invaluable early development moments👨👨👧👧 It also means parenting responsibilities are more evenly shared. The policy recognises the changing dynamics of modern families, as it applies to all co-parents including same-sex couples, adoptive parents and those involved in surrogacy❤🌈. This is just one, from a suite of inclusive policies, we offer our colleagues at Kellanova, including those focusing on domestic abuse, menopause, pregnancy loss and fertility treatment. At Kellanova there is a seat at the table for everyone. Yesterday our CEO Somaya Ouazzani took part in a panel discussion hosted by Clifford Chance in collaboration with In/Fertility in the City. The discussion focused on the different paths to parenthood including adoption, surrogacy and fertility treatment. It also touched upon the devastating impact of baby loss and how organisations, and the law, should better respond to all of these situations when employees, and specifically lawyers, are thinking about their work allocation. We very much know, and continue to see, that it is because of discussions like these that organisations are changing, for the better, their #fertilitybenefits, #babylossawareness policies, #miscarriagesupport and benefits centered around better supporting individuals on their fertility journeys whilst trying to hold down, and perform well in, their careers. This is important work and great strides are being made. Well done to all other participants for taking part including Nina Goswami FRSA, Eraldo d'Atri, Natalie Sutherland, Emma Menzies, In/Fertility in the City, Keeley Lengthorn, and Sophie Wellings.

Myth: Having a child is a straightforward process. Reality: Many people struggle with infertility—and Black women are twice as likely as white women to experience it. Due to systemic gaps in our healthcare system, Black women also have unequal access to family-building options like IVF and surrogacy. Maven is committed to addressing inequities in healthcare for Black women and families, ensuring they receive culturally humble care.
