Happy Hump Day Gamers,
We're just one week away from Develop:Brighton, well technically 6 days, but I'm not there Tuesday, so it doesn't exist in my mind 😐
This will be my first Develop conference as The Gaming Recruiter and having been on the nDreams stand last year, I know there will be more than a few Recruiters around pitching for business and telling you they're the best and it will get tiresome real quick.
We don't normally do cold outreach, We have done pretty well on referrals and inbound requests since starting in October in '23, however for us to grow, help as many people as possible and be able to buy the latest games (for research purposes, obvisously), we need new partners.
So here is our public commitment to all the Studio Heads, Hiring Managers and Talent Teams they may see this and believe we would be a great partner to work with.
"We will not spam you with CV's for roles that are not open to us" - I used to hate this working with larger agencies and it NEVER worked....EVER!!!
"We will not call you every other day, for a catch-up or anything less important than feedback on a candidate or interview" - We trust that as a partner you will call/email us as and when it is appropriate, we may recommend a sync call once a month, but we understand your time is precious.
"We will not leave you or the candidates in the dark" - We recognise that by representing your studio, by extension our actions affect your reputation, equally our reputation is on the line with you and the wider #gamesindustry (people talk, it's why we've been so successful with referrals up to this point).
So what WILL we do?
"We will limit ourselves to just FIVE CV's per open role we work for you" - We don't want to make your job any harder than it already is, we will match people to the brief, pre-screen them and only send the very best matches direct to your inbox.
"We will immerse ourselves into your projects, understand them deeply, who the audience is and become just as passionate about the outcome as you are" - Gaming is at the heart of who we are, even now we commit 10's of hours a week to playing the newest titles, understanding them and who makes them on deeply personal level.
"We know what people want and how to attract them" - Working with a mass of data gained over 7 years of experience agency side and internally at some of the biggest studios in the world, we're in a great position to advise on everything from salary bandings, to benefits, perks and company culture.
We are more than just a headhunter and CV finder, we're a talent attraction team and we could be your talent attraction team.
