We're a month removed from our most recent FERMÀT off-site and I'm still stuck on a huge takeaway from that event: The biggest learnings always come from people outside of the company. We were grateful to have a few customers (and great friends) come to Denver and speak about their experiences using FERMAT. Shoutout to Bryan from Nood and Erin from Caddis for coming down to speak. By having real customers speak, we were able to extract valuable insights that we can turn into future actions. The answered questions such as: ➝ Which areas of the product are excelling the most for actual users? ➝ Where might the shortcomings of FERMAT be affecting their business? ➝ What do customers want to see more of in the future? ➝ Is our account management strategy effective, or does it need improvement? Hearing from these partners sparked more ideas and enthusiasm in our team than any speech I could give—trust me, I saw their reactions It was exactly what we needed to push our off-site over the edge and we're certainly going to make this an ongoing ritual going forward. One of my favorite compliments I've received in my professional career was from a sync when Blake Lytle told me: "You don't just care about how well you're personally doing in your job, you CARE about your clients. Like really care about them." And I do. Team is everything to me, my core team at Supered and all the teams in my book of business. The #SuperedSquad matters to me. I am on their team, I am their hype girl, I celebrate their wins and mourn their losses with them. I take it personally if someone mentions they think they're falling behind in activation or not using the product to the best of their advantage and I give ALL credit to their hard work when they blow past milestones. I love my role here, and I love my book of partners. They are impossibly talented and doing amazing things with Supered⚡and I'm just happy to be a part of their successes. Team is everything in the end. PS: I really need someone to photoshop Lorenzo and CVP into this.

Coffee Inspo #49 It’s been a while, but I’ve been brewing up some thought-provoking new #CoffeeInspo for you. This one’s from adtech and publishing industry veteran Fiona Salmon of Captify®. She and I had a good old natter last week about values and how important these are in everyday interactions with your team and others across a business. Fiona was talking about how she encourages her teams to get to know their own values well, so they can spot and appreciate when those values are being challenged. If we know what our ‘values triggers’ are, we can look at situations more rationally, rather than reacting purely emotionally, when a potential clash comes up. This resonated with me and reminded me of some insight I learned from the Reset & Recharge workshop that I attended last year, hosted by Catherine Le Liboux, ACC, CPCC, CPQC and Seeun Choi, MSc, ACC. They took us through a values creation exercise (in case you’re wondering, mine are: Harmony, Humour, Empathy, Optimism and Excellence) and said: ‘If you approach decision making with your core values in mind, what would it look like?’ I really liked this provocation, that you can hold any decision up to your values and see if it matches or clashes and it dovetails nicely with Fi's insight too.
