Consumer spending represents 70%+ of the economy. Much of that spending is on #ConsumerPackagedGoods (#CPG). And it’s vital that CPG companies closely track their profitability. One CPG company developed an in-house application for their P&L but had challenges with its functionality. With the application no longer working correctly, SADA was brought in to help. The overarching objective of this engagement was to investigate the source code from the broken P&L application, fix any broken source code, and restore the application back to working order. As part of investigating the application issues, we documented our findings and created a root-cause analysis document. Our team found no errors in the code, but a permissions issue. The main issue turned out to be from using Apps Script as a technical solution for their business function. This wasn't a recommended solution because Apps Script is not scalable for complex business applications. Fortunately, SADA was able to provide a manual workaround for this application, with step-by-step instructions. In addition to working with this customer on their application, SADA works with other customers on their in-house applications and custom development of applications from the ground up. From AppSheet low-code/no-code apps to Firebase mobile apps to #CCAI and Google Maps geocoding, SADA has capabilities to support customers across sectors, including CPG, #Automotive, #Telecommunications, and more.

6 Aug 2023 - What is a "Composable Business Architecture" (Post 350) 1 week ago (31 July 2023) a colleague of mine (Vincent Liu) liked a post by Rafael Rocha mentioning how to undertake the steps of an approach titled 'Composable Business Architecture' - https://lnkd.in/gVA9aTii As I was not able to comment on Mr. Rocha's post (restricted to his connections) I decided to research this approach to see whether it was better than my Ripose approach (developed in 1990) & to post my findings. My findings: What is it? - I had to ask chatGPT for a description and received the following answer which "refers to a modular and flexible approach to designing and organizing the various components and functions of a business in a way that allows them to be easily rearranged and combined to meet specific business needs or objectives". So it appears that to use this approach you 1st have to identify the "specific business needs or objectives" before continuing. Because of the conjunction (or) in the sentence, I needed to find out the following: What is the difference between a specific business need & an objective? How do you discover either? I discovered these in 1990 & managed to include my findings in my automated (AI) software tool. I'm curious to discover how Mr. Rocha answers these questions, how he solved the conundrum & whether he provides an automated software tool to support his findings. Regards
Last month I talked about Composable Business Architecture on #APIX2023! In my speech I introduced the 4 fundamental layers of this kind of architecture: Legacy Layer: existing core applications which can provide existing business capabilities and data sources to Composable Business Layer. Composable Business Layer: new brand business services that bundle packaged business functions and capabilities. It usually can be implemented with #microservices or #serverless applications. External Integration Layer: provide external access to business capabilities, usually bundle business functions using #API as Product approach. It also provides infrastructure using Integration Platform solutions such as #APIM and/or #iPaaS. Partner/Customer Layer: provide entire customer experience of exposed business capabilities, usually implemented by any digital channel such as mobile app, web app or prompts apps.

Commerce Layer is an incredible headless platform that we have used for a few years to develop custom ecommerce solutions. However, displaying the CommerceLayer data on the frontend for easy internal use has proven to be challenging for various reasons. A great solution is to connect the CommerceLayer API to Retool. This gives you a simpler way to get and display your data which is both easier to manage and scale, given Retool's many out-of-box components and functionality. In particular, the ability to easily integrate other API's in one app in Retool, provides a powerful tool to supplement CommerceLayer data and create more effective dashboards for your internal team. The bottom line is that Retool provides a faster, and more scaleable platform for data from 3rd party API's, making Retool the ideal frontend for your Commerce Layer data. https://lnkd.in/eCfuHUeP
