30 years of innovation, 15 years of excellence, and countless lives saved. Did you know our Ohio ATD manufacturing facility has been a proud part of Erie County Ohio for over three decades? And this year, we're celebrating 15 years in the vibrant city of Huron! To celebrate the occasion, we've erected a billboard, told our story to the press, and invited local dignitaries in for a tour of our historic ATD factory. It soon becomes evident, though, that our greatest source of pride is our exceptional local workforce, whose talent and expertise drive the production of the world's most advanced crash test devices. From our roots in the community to our reach across the globe, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, fostering strong community ties, and contributing to life-saving technologies. What are you tearing down and replacing in your life? Yesterday I was at Lackland AFB at the new Wilford Hall Medical Center. If you are/were in the Air Force you know the old Wilford Hall has stood for decades. It’s been our major medical center. Old Willy as people called it. Within the last decade it was replaced with a new, more efficient, updated version (you can see it in the lower left of the picture). The old one has been standing empty for several years, but is now being torn down. As I think about my life, I think of: - old #habits I am tearing down and replacing - old #thinking I am replacing as I learn more - new ways of #leading people The biggest for me in 2023 was generations. The five #generations in the workforce today and how each is #motivated. And how each needs to be led differently. What changed for you in 2023? #personalgrowth #professionalsuccess #intentionalliving

Check out this new post written by the amazing Michael G. Stroud!
Ulysses S. Grant cut his teeth in the American West, but it would be his move to the East where his reputation would truly take hold. Following the Union defeat at Chickamauga in September 1863 they pulled back to the transportation hub that was Chattanooga where the cantankerous Confederate General Braxton Bragg laid siege, hoping to starve them into submission. Grant would have other plans. Read Michael G. Stroud's new post here https://lnkd.in/ewmjS6dq

Happy Flag Day! Did you know Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777? The resolution passed by the Second Continental Congress on that day read: “Resolved: that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation.” Here at The EEcosystem one of our foundational pillars is to "connect" and help bring together all the diverse engineering disciplines & domains together to make the industry stronger. Its clear that "unity" is a fragile thing, regardless of context. Today we're pausing to remember the core principle of unity that our American Flag Day represents and to continually aspire to that lofty goal. As with America and it's citizens--It takes an entire ecosystem working together to enable this industry flourish. Here's to the pursuit of unity in all our endeavors as we reflect upon Flag Day today. #flagday #america #unity

During WWII, Winston Churchill declared the need for corkscrew thinkers, people with the ability to break away from traditional linear thinking. Several years ago, Our SOCEUR J6 had more corkscrews than a wine store. Over several years and multiple disparate projects they put together an incredible capability for SOF in Europe. It immediately proved its value when Rus v. UKR started. Progress was immediately halted by Linear thinkers who failed to see that different isn't wrong, it's different. I'm told now, after years of contest from anti-progress thinkers, our team of corkscrew solutioneers have been vindicated. Different is how you achieve wins. Let's hope the next generation continues to choose different over deference. There will always be a need for Churchill's "Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." Let's value that and not stifle it. It isn't always needed but when we need, we must have it.

THE HOSTILE TAKEOVER OF THE US AIR FORCE ACADEMY by Scott Sturman Article excerpts: "The transformation of the Air Force Academy (AFA) from a military institution to a progressive, liberal arts school has been incremental, relentless, and calculated. The goal to politicize the training and perspectives of cadets, who constitute about 20% of annual Air Force officer commissions, guarantees a source of influential officers who will apply and promote these ideas throughout their military and civilian careers." "In keeping with Marcuse’s tactics of marching through the institutions, the transformation of the AFA developed insidiously as activists infiltrated and corrupted its foundational principles. Undermining respect for the Honor Code, lessening academic rigor, reducing the intensity of the cadet experience as evidenced by low attrition rates, appointing activist superintendents, deans, and commandants, introducing a pervasive DEI culture, co-opting graduate associations to support radical programs sponsored by the administration rather than abiding by the wishes of the alumni, and the penchant of general officers to accept the changes as a fait accompli all contributed to the academy’s demise." "CRT and DEI have become normalized at the AFA." "Cadets live under a system where Diversity and Inclusion Representatives are embedded in all cadet squadrons and act as political officers. This cadre reports outside the chain of command and exerts an element of control and intimidation reminiscent of the thought police found in totalitarian governments."

Trauma is a heavy burden, one I've felt personally. The video "Reborn" by Boulder Crest Foundation struck a chord. It's a raw look at the challenges our veterans, active-duty military, and first responders face daily, highlighting the potential for Posttraumatic Growth (PTG). Boulder Crest Foundation isn't just treating symptoms; they're offering a path to harness trauma and transform it into strength. Their PTG programs, like #WarriorPATHH and #StruggleWell, are pivotal in this mission. Kudos to Atlantic Pictures and Neymarc Visuals for capturing this narrative so authentically. In the words of Ken Falke, Founder and Chairman of Boulder Crest Foundation "Traumatic experience — although none of us want it — if you can learn from it, can be the defining moment of our lives." It's time to support organizations like Boulder Crest Foundation making real change. #PosttraumaticGrowth #Reborn #Veterans #FirstResponders #TraumaHealing #Hope Josh Goldberg

Our friend, L. Lumbad shared some great thoughts on the importance of our local businesses and veteran organizations. So, let's discuss the importance of connecting through local business partners and veteran organizations for future success. Making connections through local business partners and veteran organizations can greatly contribute to your future success. ⚫ Access to Local Expertise and Networks ⚫ Veteran Organizations Provide Specialized Support ⚫ Community and Social Responsibility Local business partners have a good understanding of the local market. They know all the little details like the rules and regulations, what customers like, and the cultural aspects that are important. When people or businesses work together, they can benefit from the knowledge and experience of the local community. This can provide valuable insights that can be used to customize their strategies and products to better meet the specific needs of the area. In addition, these partnerships can give you access to a wide range of local connections. This can help you discover new opportunities, attract more clients, and gain access to valuable resources. Did you know that veteran organizations have a lot of helpful resources and support specifically designed for veterans? They really understand the unique needs that veterans have. Sure! Some of the resources that are available to you include mentorship programs, opportunities to secure funding, and assistance in transitioning to civilian life or even starting your own business. Joining organizations like these can be really helpful for veterans who want to start their own businesses. It gives them a support system and a clear path to follow, making the transition into the business world easier and increasing their chances of success. When we partner with local businesses and veteran organizations, it helps us build a stronger sense of community and social responsibility. Supporting local businesses and veterans shows that a company is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. This can really boost their reputation and make a difference in society. Engaging in these activities can help build stronger relationships with customers, improve your reputation in the public eye, and give you the chance to participate in community projects and events that have a positive impact. All of this contributes to the long-term success of your brand by creating a favorable image. As we say at Ford, be curious! As we celebrate Black History Month, everyone knows Detroit has a rich heritage of Black prosperity being the home to the auto industry. Did you know that years ago, segregation forced Blacks to certain parts of the city (Paradise Valley the Black business district, and Black Bottom, called this by the early French settlers, due to the rich black farming soil)? Both communities were downtown close to the Detroit River, generational wealth was created and these neighborhoods thrived. The national highway system I-375, displaced these types of neighborhoods in Detroit and other cities, erasing Black generational wealth for so many. Though still in the planning stages to help right some past wrongs, let's look at what the city and the state are doing to acknowledge this and work to drive inclusion in this new downtown development district being built where these neighborhoods once were.
