In my opinion young IT specialists should work for an IT service provider rather than in the internal IT department of a large company. The many different problems with the most diverse customers and environments improve their skills much faster than resetting passwords all day long. Big companies have internal specialist teams for almost everything and it's hard to acquire deep technical knowledge in these environments. So from my experience I can give the following advice: when you are young and you have a choice, choose the path where you'll learn more
