Hayes Barton United Methodist Church and Preschool’s Post

Service at Hayes Barton doesn’t stop in the summer. The church has been a busy place both within and outside our doors! To participate in one of these service projects or learn more about Outreach at Hayes Barton, contact Director of Outreach and Fellowship, Lindsay Nugent, at lnugent@hbumc.org. - Encouraging Place Summer Camps: Hayes Barton has partnered with the Encouraging Place to host four evening summer camps for women throughout the month of July. The theme of the camp is Summer Oasis: I Like Living this Kind of Life. Each evening consists of a meal, fellowship, and an inspirational speaker. This has been a great way to connect with and encourage women from across the Raleigh area this summer! - Our Creation Care Team is committed to #PlasticFreeJuly, hoping to move our church towards zero waste. They’ve worked to move us away from disposables and are composting the remaining food from Encouraging Place summer camp’s meals on Monday night! - Recently, the HBUMC Library Guild and several members from Circle 1 went to Parkview Manor to begin working on refreshing the Library space for residents to use and enjoy. This project will involve the placement and exchange of books in the future on a regular schedule between Parkview Manor, the Helen Wright Center, and the Women’s Center.
