Celebrating Our Everyday Heroes 🌟 Today, we want to take a moment to celebrate some very special people in our company — the ones who often work quietly behind the scenes but whose impact is felt everywhere. Imagine how powerful it is to work in a place where everyone feels appreciated, no matter their role or title. It’s a place where people are motivated not just by their paycheck but by the feeling that they are part of something bigger, that their work is making a difference. That’s the kind of culture we should all strive to build — one where recognition is not just a formality but a heartfelt expression of gratitude. Recognition isn’t just about giving credit where it’s due — it’s about truly seeing and appreciating the individuals who make our company what it is. When we take the time to acknowledge the efforts of our non-management team members, we’re not just boosting morale; we’re showing them that their contributions matter, that they are valued, and that they are essential to our success. So, here’s to the people who show up every day with dedication and drive, who put their heart into their work, and who help us achieve our goals. Your efforts might not always be in the spotlight, but they are deeply valued and appreciated. Thank you for everything you do. 💙👏 Let’s continue to celebrate each other and make our workplace a place where everyone’s contributions are recognized and cherished. Last week, I had the pleasure of leading the incredible team of dedicated professionals and hilarious human beings which make up MENA Rights Group through what I can only describe as a transformative team retreat. I say transformative as much for me as for them. Seeing their courage in sharing and connecting, diving deep into their challenges and dreams, focusing as seriously on their mental health and team-work as they do on the crucial documentation and human rights work they do... It was inspirational, deeply gratifying, and strengthened me in my certainty that what the approach of combining "inner work" (team-collaboration, boundary setting, self-leadership, conflict and tension work, communication, etc) with the "outer work" (strategy, structuring, roles and responsibilities, impact measurement, etc) we have at Purpose+Motion is a key ingredient to building sustainable, regenerative organisations which have massive impacts on the global issues we are facing. #ProudCoach #Transformation #Retreats
Last week, we spent a couple of days in the south of France, during which we got to connect as a team and strategize for the future. After 5+ years of existence, it was our first-ever retreat. It's easy to get swamped in our busy day-to-day, but it's also essential to give ourselves some time to step back and reflect. Led by our coach Michael Romig, we got to know each other, strengthened our team's trust, well-being and performance, learned about self-leadership and functioning autonomously. We also want to thank Château l'Escarelle for hosting us in such a serene environment!

A seasoned hotelier, Kate has worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade and has served with Remington Hospitality for over two years. Not only is Kate the first female General Manager at her hotel, but she consistently exceeds our aggressive hotel goals and plays a critical role in ensuring the overall success of the property. Learn more about Kate and the women who made a lasting impact on her life. 💡 Who is the most influential woman in your life? How does she inspire you? Kate: Extending far beyond a single woman, inspirational women have been a part of my journey since childhood. From women I became intrinsically tied to in college to the amazing women I collaborate with every day at work, their steadfast support and guidance have been instrumental in molding me into the devoted mother and resilient leader I am today. 📽 When you think back over your life and everything you’ve accomplished, what moment stands out that makes you proud of yourself? September is a big month for Luis Flores-Hernandez, a Senior Manager on our Global Customer Services team; he is celebrating 25 years with #TeamFTI and Hispanic Heritage Month! See below for his reflections on working here and being Latino. What has kept you at FTI Consulting? Luis: FTI Consulting says that its biggest asset is its employees; after so many years here, I know that is true. The company values team building and camaraderie and provides you with resources for continuous learning and training. Due to its varied services and geographic breadth, you can learn something new with every assignment. I have been lucky to travel internationally with the firm, and it has taught me the importance of having a diverse set of views in the workplace. How do you plan on celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month? Luis: The start of Hispanic Heritage month coincides with Mexican Independence celebrations. I celebrate with good Mexican food, including spicy tacos, delicious Chiles en Nogada and, of course, some excellent tequila or mezcal. What are you most of proud of regarding your Hispanic heritage? Luis: They say Hispanics don’t come in small packages, you befriend/marry one person and you befriend/marry a whole family. The concept of family is wide – not only your immediate family members but cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandparents, etc. So, the thing I am most proud of is the importance of the Latino family. Why are programs like HOLA (FTI Consulting’s Hispanic/Latinx Organization for Leadership & Advancement) so important? Luis: Programs like HOLA bring people of different backgrounds and experiences together, creating valuable connections that we lean on throughout our careers and in the service of our clients. #Diversity #HispanicHeritageMonth

It’s time to shatter some #AGEISM myths‼️ See the sweet-faced grandma in the picture? Would you hire her as a consultant to your small to mid-sized business? Hesitating a little? Think again. That’s Colleen Barrett. Still don’t know who she is? Colleen Barrett is the President Emerita of Southwest Airlines. At age 57, she became the first woman to serve as president of a major airline. And her leadership left an indelible mark on Southwest's trajectory. Her contributions to the aviation field were acknowledged with prestigious awards, including the coveted Wright Brothers Memorial Trophy, solidifying her legacy as a pioneer in the aviation industry. It’s also worth mentioning that she was born into a lower-income family and became a secretary after graduating in 1964 with an associates degree from Becker College. What a dynamic woman 😍 And yet, with so many trailblazing people of age all around us - and in this case, WOMAN of age - many still hesitate to put themselves out there in a bold and courageous way. That’s self-directed ageism. Sadly, the ageism mindset is being fed from both ends! Storytime 📖 Not too long ago, I was working with a client, encouraging her to take some calculated steps to the forefront with her social media marketing strategy. I suggested we incorporate telling some fun or inspiring stories from "the old days" (aka her corporate days) and maybe even tag an old boss or colleague to draw them in and start a meaningful conversation. The idea of revealing the timeframe, and thus her age, was not a big hit with her. 💥 "No way. Nobody wants to work with a grandma!" 💥 Truth is, I felt her pain. For years, I worked in a male-dominated industry that often viewed our decades of experience with an associated “expiration date.” But people like Colleen Barrett PROVE that being above a certain age is not a limitation - it’s a SUPERPOWER. In today’s dynamic landscape, diversity in age brings resilience, creativity, and a broader perspective. We all need to work on fostering inclusive mindsets and workplaces. Let’s appreciate the wisdom that comes with every stage of life! Age is an asset, not a liability. #iSellSocial #HolisticMarketing #DynamicLeaders iSellSocial 🟠 Social Media Marketing Agency
