The 48th Annual Florida RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.), Educational Conference will be held from July 30 -August 3 in Naples, Florida. #HMBLaw salutes the work of our own Roger L. Johnson, Esq. who has had a busy and productive summer working with the National Bar Association (NBA). Roger is the Immediate Past President of the Virgil Hawkins Florida Chapter National Bar Association. His Chapter was named the “Outstanding Affiliate of the Year” during the Bar’s 99th Annual Convention held in Las Vegas. He was also honored with the Brandes S.G.Ash/Toya Carmichael Leadership Award given to an NBA affiliate president or section/division leader. In addition, Roger was elected to serve as the Director of Region XI (Florida, Georgia and Alabama) for the 2024-2025 year, an office which comes with a seat on the Board of Governors. #HMBLaw welcomes Jeanette Bellon as a partner in the firm’s Miami office. Jeanette has the rare combination of being both a trial and appellate attorney. She concentrates her practice on litigation support and appeals. Throughout her legal career, Jeanette has tried cases to verdict in bench trials and jury trials in Florida state court. Jeannette is well known for her vigorous advocacy on behalf of clients. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jeanette taught filmmaking and had a successful career in television production. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Jeanette earned her B.F.A., summa cum laude, from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and her J.D., cum laude, from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh. Today, July 18, we commemorate Nelson Mandela International Day, a tribute to his lifelong struggle against the racist apartheid system in South Africa and for his fight for freedom and equality around the world. Mr. Mandela, who was affectionately known by his Xhosa clan name, Madiba, spent nearly 30 years in jail for standing up to human rights abuses and severe injustices against black South Africans. He was released from prison in 1990 and elected President four years later in the country’s first-ever multiracial elections. Let us all honor his legacy, using his principles to make a positive impact on the lives of others and our community. #HMBLaw #TrialLawyers #HMBTrials

With a passion for advocating on behalf of her clients, she brings a wealth of experience to our team with years of experience as in-house counsel and in private practice. As a seasoned litigator, she uses her strong skills to help her clients achieve satisfactory resolutions. Before joining #HMBLaw, Tiffany served as Senior Staff Counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company. Prior to this, she grew her expertise at Florida’s largest insurance defense firm, concentrating exclusively on workers’ compensation matters. Tiffany graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida, earning her Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Marketing.
